Good timing I have some OG GOAT SCALES arriving tomorrow. I’ll use this for a reference.

It may appear darker from the oil you said you added to the media maybe the titanium absorbed a bit of it. Either way they came out great!!

I think the handles look great now, you can totally tell in my opinion. I think the knife would look better if you stonewashed the blade too. Then your special edition AD10 would be the first anyone has seen with a stonewashed handle and blade. I think it would look even meaner than it already does.

If it was already blasted Ti it really won’t change the color stonewashing. You’d need a coarser media like a sand blast to make a difference. Or I find if you ano blue and thrn remove the ano 90% of the way you can achieve a dark grey color on Ti.

Where did you get that mat?

About the same. Maybe a tad darker. But, still a great knife brother..👊

Yah try tumbling parts seperately, parts banging against each other will make the finish inconsistant. Still looks pretty good though

I bet an acid wash would look nice too
@BrendanCS4 ай бұрын
I could be wrong but I think acid etch/acid wash only works on steel and not Ti
@floridaman7274 ай бұрын
You are correct! A quick google search validated your response pretty quickly. It is very difficult to acid wash titanium. I never really thought about it.
