Resuscitation After Cardiac Surgery - The Rules Have Changed

In this lecture, Dr. Rakesh Arora, Head of Cardiac Surgery and Cardiac Critical Care at the University of Manitoba, redefines ACLS in the setting of patients who have recently undergone cardiac surgery and proposes a simple algorithm by which these patients may be approached were they to experience a post-operative cardiac arrest.

Fantastic overview of the post cardiac surgery arrest protocol. We started to implement all your points in the CSICU, except turning off the drugs being infused prior/during arrest. Any additional suggestions why turning drugs off will benefit arrest outcome will be appreciated.
