Sounds like it's a clearance outlet. I'd focus on apparel there but also you can sell shoes without boxes on amazon, you just need to poly bag them or buy replacement boxes from reseller supplies 🫡

Target has a policy that they can refuse but if they don't know (because you don't tell them) you'll be fine. Also the newer self checkouts at Target support tax exempt. Nike is 100% reseller friendly and will allow you to use your tax exemption as long as your purchasing credit card matches the company on your certificate from your state

How do you do taxes with a reseller certificate on FBA? Does Amazon send you what you owe on taxes; 1099 or do they pay taxes upfront within the app? I'm confused with Nexus. Do I have to have a sellers permit for every state that I send to Amazon FBA?

You do not need a sellers permit for every state and you don’t even need one for your state to start. But you should get it before the year completes. Only register your business in the state you operate in. Amazon will collect sales tax for you for all the states that it’s required to by the government. You do get a 1099K from Amazon at the end of the year but they do not withhold any taxes other than sales tax for you

When you register your business with the state you can apply for sales tax exemption with vendors. This means when they sell to you they don’t charge sales tax. You have to get it set up on a per store basis and it’s a little different in each state. The reason is, because if you’re reselling it, you’re going to charge your customer sales tax, so we dont have to ALSO pay when we buy. Also charities and nonprofits don’t pay sales tax. More places offer it then don’t. Costco, Walmart, Amazon etc. “Do you take tax exempt?” Make sure you ask before you checkout. 😉

Yeah, but what about all those returns & "Item not received" scammers? Not including Amazon $25-$30 fees per pair. Oh yeah...and Amazon giving customer refunds at your expense to anybody that asks. Profits dwindle down quickly. I have a love hate relationship with them right now. Good luck!

Target won’t do it. Nike will. You need to present your state tax ID and you need to use a business credit card that matches the business name on the state tax ID
