This is a good video, but there’s a lot that isn’t mentioned... or quickly glossed over. I had a boss of a small company that wanted to move products to amazon; so I set it up. There’s also a time decay for profits; you’ve got to factor in the monthly storage cost of FBA items that don’t sell as well as the monthly amazon seller fee + fee per item sold in whichever category the item is in (some can be as high as 30% or so). There are additional fees on FBA: packaging, shipping, and I believe some others. Don’t forget that you’re competing against china and other sellers who have an established reputation. The tips at the end are very useful- you do not want to keep inventory of anything: selling fast is the best way to create actual income with this platform. You’re going to spend a significant amount of time looking for items that you think will sell and have the right price tag. Make sure you are making less than you’re selling for (not as obvious as it seems!) Also remember that Walmart isn’t the only place to buy cheaply! There are also online bulk/clearance shops- absolutely be sure to check the shipping fees for these... you can buy 1000 units for $0.1 ... but then rush to check out and discover that the shipping fee is going to be like $150 or something; this changes you’re initial cost from that factor alone from $100 to $250 (0.25/unit) Still, I wish the best of luck to everyone who does put in the work and time needed to get there business started!

@T3dX013 жыл бұрын
@@samsar9118 long story short got out with a plan, thought it was fool proof. But order has a funny way of humbling you. I’ve always put others before myself to the point if you needed a 1000 dollars I would give it to you because watching you suffer hurt me more than losing a little money that I made easy. I had 3 streams of passive income on top of my pay from the military and all the deployment perks because I was hoping on quite a few of those. Never regretted that about myself snd still don’t. But it got to a point I had a savior complex, if I wasn’t able to help because I had to make sure the money flowed, it would hurt me to my soul and I would think if I don’t help who will, if I don’t do the right thing for someone else who will. As much as I wanted and loved helping others and paying it forward, it really got self destructive. Fast forward through my contract, I get out snd COVID hits hard, everything’s shutting down and no one wants to take a chance on a vet with no college credentials. The money I had to keep my family secure was used for that purpose and the struggle was getting worst to the point I considered going back to a life in the streets I left behind to go to the military in change. But I stuck it out, and begged family to take in my wife and son and I would ease the burden by being on the street and trying to figure a way out. Called the VA countless times and they kept my in limbo essentially so nothing in that front and time was of the essence. But while my wife was staying with my family she filled out an application on my behalf with Amazon when everything started opening back up. And by the mercy of God or sheer chance after a little over a 100 job applications Amazon was the first to say let him in and work. So got in and used that money to start building another stream of income and learning how to get an FBA to take off and be successful, well we can say now if child me saw all the dinosaur toys my son has he would probably try to fight him for them. That wasn’t my first struggle like that in life but it was the first where I was alone in it, the one thing I learned you can’t save everyone and if saving everyone means sentencing yourself to death who do you really help

I effing love you man! Not because I want to start a business but because you know your 💩! I’m 68, retired from retail. I started when I was 15 and worked until I was 62. So you explained perfectly 💯 exactly every step the old fashioned way on what a retailer goes through step by step w/the convenience of the computer age. Back in my day I started in shipping and receiving at a young age so imagine taking all of these steps without a computer! L. O. L. That’s right every thing we did had to be hand written with layers of carbon paper most of you won’t know what carbon paper is but look it up it’ll crack you up. It was before we had scan bars or proper identification like we do now. We didn’t know any better back then but every time there was a change to make things easier we embellished The new process. You hit it right on the nose step-by-step and explained it for anyone interested in this craft to do it the right way. I applaud you for your generosity and your knowledge. You like myself had no college courses or fancy schools to go to but we were streetsmart in retail. And that only comes with experience in starting at the bottom. I have loved retail my entire career I’ve worked for five major retailers from drug stores grocery stores clothing stores and bedding. I worked my way up from a ice cream scooper to store managers and district managers and worked in the corporate environment. So for those of you who think it’s a lot of work to do what you do, it is a lot less work than working for a retail outfit at minimum wage basically doing the same thing depending on the department you work for. So while I’m not looking to work again I was very impressed by your video I will continue watching the rest of your product information. Good luck to you I applaud you once again you are doing an awesome job I would’ve hired you in a heartbeat. Sincerely Rick

Huge fan. You actually got me interested in selling stuff online. Applied for all my licenses and shtuff, got on with EE Distribution months back. Got approved in toys and Funko pop really easily with one order. They didn't approve me in Disney even though I got a Disney Funko. Anyway I appreciate the info. After giving up on Amazon cause I can't find Funko pops cheap enough to make money, I went to Ebay and built up more capital and now I'm going back for Amazon to make some real money. I appreciate your videos and the knowledge you give away for free. You're awesome!

Just found you. Had no idea you could make a decent profit reselling on Amazon. Will be looking into this, but liked and subbed! Love how humble and honest you are about not having a college or even HS degree. Though you should probably do an episode that stresses to track revenue and calculate what you'll need to pay in taxes at the end of the year and being sure to set that amount aside otherwise A LOT of unwitting people are going to be in for a nasty surprise from the IRS and can lose their livelihoods, homes, etc.

Thank you for being clear that it is "expected profit". Too many big name resellers brag about making 500 in 15 minutes when in fact they have not actually made a penny yet. in fact they are technically in the hole at the time they are purchasing. I would love to see more videos of people showing what they actually made a few weeks after purchasing the products instead of just claiming to have made it.

Maybe 3-5hrs of work $700 profit ÷ 3-5 = $233.33 - $140 hourly. Granted this seems to only be ONE store. Say you made a 5store hunt and found exactly the same multiply all numbers by 5. There you just paid your rent in a days work(granted they sell).

Interesting, I had no idea you could do this. The big question is... does all of your stuff always sell on Amazon? And how long before it sells? Could you end up with tens of thousands of dollars of stuff over on Amazon that is extremely slow to sell tying up your money for a really long time? And what if the price crashes, can you lose money and will they sell automatically at a loss? Or will it just sit there at the higher price not selling at all while everyone undercuts you?
@popparalph45773 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tips Reezy. I set up my account last week with EE distribution and they work great. Just wanted to add one thing. Great info. Have you already discussed about the time to sell or if Amazon charges additional money to hold your items in their warehouse(s) until sold? Thanks in advance.
@ochiet773 жыл бұрын
Yes, Amazon charges you to hold the items. 90% of people selling on Amazon are regular people sitting behind a computer buying bulk from China and having it shipped to Amazon, then Amazon handles all the orders and ships it out.
