We call this customer service. A retailer must keep up with times and technology or they will fail.I worked retail for 35 years and have seen businesses fold over poor customer service.

Smart companies, dumb conclusions. So let me get this right: the future shopper wants retail to do the basics well, make it easy, and create an experience. Whew, I thought we might have to do that today, good thing we've got a while yet.

They consider that the present is the basis of the future. This is quite right for basic needs but quite wrong for post-cultural products as a result the bigger they predict, the harder they fall...

Simphiwe Luthuli a lot of the technology they are talking about is already here or being tested in places such as South Korea, Japan and Europe. So within ten years it will probably be everywhere.
