They're a bit more changes then only the special padding in the back, this is a Nike Dunk OG model without the retooled soles and upper. This OG model of the Nike Dunk SB is without the heel lining pods (like u mentioned), forefront hidden lacing (at the beginning of the laces below no outer flaps like as an example the Chicago SB dunks got), internal forefoot construction (no curved material on the toe-box like on the Chicago Dunk SB's) , re-engineered outsole (less detailed / traction pattern on the outsole) and injected phylon midsoles (outsole in 1 material where the nike SB branding is on). But somehow they did updrage the sockliner cushioning on the insole with that zoom-air unit. That's all from an SB expert, hope some of this information did enlighten you guys from a small fraction of the history of the SB Dunk.

Congrats bro ! & The orange lobster has the og model of the sb dunk. Around 2011 I believe or a little later they made changes for it to be more comfortable, durable & better for skating so that’s why newer dunks have the better padding on the inside, double flap on the laces, better tread on the bottom, etc.

I picked up a special box one from District one today. Traded it for a pair of shoes that I had on ice. My production dates match up except mine says 7/20/22 I heard production dates vary on some shoes. Everything else matches up too. I haven't opened the bears yet but I probably will. This is my first special box shoe and my first lobster dunk. Orange is my favorite color so I NEEDED these. Thanks for the great video.
