Retc program for water retention curve and hydraulic properties

sir I have some issues kindly help me when I use the RETC program I perform steps like the type of problem. retention data only...next, cm, day next, vangenten equation m=1-1/n, no retention data points 14, next a box appear her I select clay. then values appear here theta s 0.38 theta r 0.0068 alpha 0.008 n= 1.09 what is the value Predicted or observed value???????,,,,,,-1 after it i select nural network prediction and % sand ,silt clay and in bottom put values of sand silt clay bulk density value after this i slect predict here some values of Theta s , theta r , alpha and n are apear .kindly tell me about these values mean????????? ......-2 when I press accept . all value for clay is change what is the means of this value????"""""-3 sir tell me what value of theata s, theta r , alpha stage which vlues I will be use for plotting a curve ? 1- value???????,,,,,, OR 2- ????????? ..... OR value 3-????""""" these are some points I can not understand.

This is a bit more than I can help you replying here, you might want to look into nonlinear regression theory and the original papers. Please read the manual that came with retc's download and van Genuchten's paper: acsess.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.2136/sssaj1980.03615995004400050002x Then if you still need we can try to find a way of providing you further help.

@@leaot I downloaded the program. Does it only work on xp windows? . my windows is 10 and the program is not installed!
