there's a mod you can do with this radio to fix most of the interference. most of the interference comes just from the display. just search "v115 mod" and you'll see. what the guy did was put copper tape on the back and bottom of the display and connect it to ground. careful though, you can easily break your radio by doing this mod because the ribbon for the display is fragile. there's also a new hardware revision of this with way less interference. one of the names is "PRUNUS J-401" but it goes by different names. it's going for $18 on amazon US

Thanks!! I tried some of the other mods I found in forums and they didn’t work. However, I hadn’t tried the copper tape technique. I’ll look at the other radio as well. Great suggestions!!
