Good afternoon, how do you know what to charge to mow the retention/detention ponds? Do you have fees as in for fuel for the machine, distance to the job, charge per hr, per acre etc...Thank you for your time. Have a great day

Well I don't have a set amount or process how I do anything on things like this they don't come across all the time you just have to look at it in this way what is the minimum someone would have to pay you to do something like that and then take that amount and multiply it by a number until you get to a number where you can really profit by it and have enough to have someone also help you as well

You need to see the original plans for that retention pond. By design, some of that grass might need to be native & stand over one foot tall to increase the amount of water that retention pond can evaporate & infiltrate. Grasses with deep roots are usually in the retention pond design & cutting those long-rooted grasses will kill them & completely destroy the efficiency of a retention pond. If those are not the proper grasses in the design then you can get paid to replant what should be growing there.

Buddy of mine mows nothing but those huge ones and little ones from $150-$1500 he does them all with either trimmers or a 36” walkbehind
