Hey Jaz, any tips for upper fixed retainers? always have problems with them fitting in with the occlusion.

Doc, the top tip is to plan for enough overjet at the start and consider the overbite. If it's tight, let you're patient know from the start that an upper retainer may not be possible/advised as they can be troublesome in tight occlusions

From your clinical experience, periodontal health is same in bonded and remove able retainer?

purely based on my experience, fixed retainers are more difficult for my patients to maintain perfect gums. However, a good brusher is a good brusher and can overcome it.

Hi! My dentist put a fix retention in my top teeth, that retain only the incisors. Do I need a fixed retention that include the canines? Or I will not have problems? Thanks!

Answer: it depends on sooooo many factors. I am sure your Dentist had your best interest at heart. They are the best person to answer that question.
