My first impression is that it looks like a 1980s Realistic Mobile. That's not a bad thing, it was just a time when manufacturers were going from that classic CB look to a more "modern" look.
I'm looking forward to review this radio so stay tuned.

Within a few hours of using this radio I figured out a few things. very cool stuff.

Let's look at the genesis of the RJ-45, originally used in modems and other computer equipment since the 1980s. It's most commonly found on computers as the Ethernet cable port. This cable connects the computer to a modem, router, or switch. What it wasn't designed to do was to be used in an environment where the cable is constantly in motion and under strain, like a microphone connection on a two way radio. Consequently, they fail, often right when you need it the most. Maybe the current crop of radio manufacturers has figured out a great way to sell replacements microphones. No matter what, the use of a modem cable connection as a microphone connection is clearly the wrong tool for the job.

I doubt that it has CTCSS or DCS tone squelch. There were just some empty pages in the manual that had to be filled. Also 27.99125 MHz is not really impressive as this is just UK channel 40. However I wonder what that heatsink is for 😁 I believe this radio is for only a very small target group and might not pay off.

I read the manual bit dubious,I would email radioddity for clarification ,I hope they haven't dumped ctcss DCS codes. All depends what firmware in that cb Most of these new ones 4/8/15-20w in expanded option

You already have it in USA! Ctcss DSC subtones is way forward on FM CB ,I've tested it works great no more noise bursts or interference issues. Sub tones fitted now on most new Am FM sets Inc newer ssb multi-modes. I use ctcss FM mobile,base and handheld randy 3 never looked back now. Handy hint for new ctcss users to remember tones numbers Example Ch 01-01(ctcss or DCS tone) Ch 02-02 ------------- Ch 09-09 emg Ch 14-14 Ch 19-19 Etc etc really easy to set up Or can use random sub tones codes Glad having fun with CB FM Can't wait to see part 2 video 73's rob Ch
