Good afternoon, I have the retevis RA89, I bought it new and when I turn it on the keys do not work, it is not locked, and when I press the PTT button the legend STUN appears, I don't know how to correct it.

Yes I love mine I feel very confident taking it out in the field and I can program it from the keypad if I had to put another repeater in very very nice company matter of fact I love this company I have their rt85 and the rt87 the rt87 is beautiful I wish you'd do a review on the RT 87 I love it because it has dual meters yes the estimators there's two of them if they made that in color I would buy two or three of them just to have❤

I have an RA-89. And I like it. If Retevis put the 89 in the case of the HA1G, with the color screen and weather (for the U.S. & Canada) it would be a perfect radio... or Make the HA1G 10 watts and unlock it

To turn off key beep set menu item 009 "BEEP" to "OFF". Or program with Chirp and turn off in settings.

its crazy that they based the HA1G on a DMR radio and not this. this has a better waterproof rating and simpler hardware. well, they still have time to make the RA89G

@@HamTechRadioScannerDrones Yes thank you. I got to work on the side buttons but CHIRP has the configurations wrong. Mind you I use chirp on a Macbook. From Settings I clicked Advanced Settings and choose Side Key 1, on the right one can pick many functions like None VOX Dual Wait and others but if I clicked on None I got the next choice on my radio. Took me a while to figure this out. Still side key long press will not work and some functions do not work either. I am sure in the future Chirp will clean this mess. Anyhow I got Flashlight and Scan by choosing 1750 Tone and Dual Wait.
