Rethinking Makeup \\ Minimalist makeup Declutter & Haul

For so many years, my unconscious golden rule was “but I can do with less”.
It wasn’t ”less” meaning that I would only have a handful of makeup items.
The “less” was one in which I was satisfied with meh things.
I thought that good things belong to certain lucky girls. I wasn’t sure if I earned my place in that group.
Today, I’m deciding that I have.
I am a lucky girl.
I can have beautiful things.
I don’t have to settle for less.
I can have what is good.
So are you.

i use to wear Covergirl foundation for years. Nice an cheap. But hen when i turned 30/31 it no longer looked that good on my skin. I learned that pharmacy/drugstore makeup is really for very young skin. I think its practical to use Mac, Tarte, etc.. as you get older. It sits better on more mature skin and you buy less of it. Its not like you are buying La Prairie or Dior so no need to feel any guilt. You deserve Tarte!!💙

Wow I've got 35 years now, And everything you say is exactly what i thing about my make up now😊 I have never been to Sephora or Douglas because it was to luxury for me but now I want to minimize my collection and buy some more highend brands to really celebrate the time that i spend on doing my make up. Which i really like, and i'm kind of sad and dissapointing on a days when i'm sick and don't have energy to do so:/ 😊 i,m really glad for finding your channel , Best regards:)

You will get there, it’s a matter of time and testing different things ☺️ at your age a bought a lot of makeup and that is what allows me to be in a position today where I only have the products that are the best match for me 💕

Watching you videos while knitting ! I have the same mindset with my wardrobe, because I'm a fabric snob ^^ For my makeup, I don't really felt a difference between the goods brands (two faced, urban decay, benefit etc) and L'oréal/Maybelline so I stick with these brands. This started slowly but ended so perfectly, I've been thinking the same things about some of my purchases over the last 6 months. Also if you are really cooltone the Loreal Baby Blossom blush was reformulated and now it's a little more peachy than it used to be 😢 sucks because that was my everyday blush and I've been trying to find a replacement and haven't yet. Also I'm so cooltone that bronzer is not something I wear at all and same with the Petal high lighter from wet-in-wild it looks fine when I first put in on but when I look in the car mirror before I leave the house it doesn't look right for me.

Let me know if you find any replacement for your blush. Why do brands always reformulate or discontinue the best stuff 😅 I want to film a part 2 this week because I have some new stuff to share and some other products to declutter. If you have a MAC counter near you, maybe try Mocha blush and see if you like it. Very different from our L’Oréal one, but still pretty. See if you like it :)

If you don’t want to use water proof mascara, Baking underneath the eyes with powder, even if for only a few minutes helped stop my mascara smudging for me. :)
