Dear Rick, me gf and me appreciate you very much. I myself interested in all things guitar started a deeper journey some years ago. At age 66 now the only regret I carry, that was a bit late We both love your deeply felt enthusiasm for high-quality music and the way you share your thoughts, your knowledge plus, last, but not least show your feelings about it. How many of your listeners have started to study an instrument by ear and hand? I'm just one, I'm sure right now and here there are many. That's great! ❤️ In short: contagious! I'm glad there is no anti-rick-beato-vaccine, but your two music-virus channels. Everybody feel free to get a fair amount of R. B. ❤ We wonder how many of your listeners have started to study an instrument by ear and hand? I'm just one, I'm sure there are many. That's great! Best wishes from Germany, from us & my guitars

It's true that a lot of us are not musicians, I'm not one, I'm an artist, but I love music. I grew up in the 70s and 80s, and I listen to a lot of the bands you talk about. I suppose your demographic is older, too. So, It kind of makes sense that your audience watches completely unrelated stuff. The thing about both of your channels that appeals to me is the nostalgia and the passionate way you talk about music. It brings me back, and I absolutely love it.

I hope you don't stop posting clips. That's usually my entry (and motivation) to watching a full episode. Other times, I may not have the time or interest in watching the full video, so checking the clips is a nice alternative. Another channel that I subscribe to posts full interviews and has a second channel that is just clips from the interviews.

Rick, you do so many different things with the channel. It’s just nice to know that I can slide in one day and learn the chords of a Nirvana song, or hear about some cool jazz history. I would start with “ branding” Beato 2 with a different look. Green screen your background showing a different image than your studio shot you use on Beato I. I would incorporate the name of the second channel in the background so each channel is instantly identifiable from each other. Once you have a different immediately identifiable look for each channel, you can hone in on the difference between the channels. Good luck with whichever way you decide to take it! Always a fan!

Recording techniques, studio design, engineering interviews, how/why to choose which plugins or outboard gear to use in certain situations, things like how the Beatles' songs sound so different using the same gear year after year. Demos about how great engineers actually set up in the studio, etc. interviews, etc.

Here's a brief list of major bands/artists that have barely (or NEVER) been discussed on your channel. It would be really cool to find a way to feature some of these artists. (I realize some of them may be blockers.) *Alice Cooper, Bad Company, The Band, Blondie, Blues Traveler, Bob Seger, Bruce Springsteen, Bryan Adams, The Clash, The Commodores, CSN&Y, Eddie Money, ELO, Elvis Costello, Foreigner, The Guess Who, Hall & Oates, Heart, Huey Lewis, INXS, Iron Maiden, Jackson Browne, Jefferson Airplane/Starship, Jethro Tull, CCR/John Fogerty, John Mellencamp, Kenny Loggins, Kool & The Gang, Little River Band, The Moody Blues, Pat Benatar, REO Speedwagon, Rod Stewart, Styx, Supertramp, Talking Heads.*

I missed this while I was actually practicing and working on a song idea for another band. I like the "soundstage" channel rebrand idea. A good idea for this or maybe even another channel would be to document some of the production of Billionaire's recording. I was lucky being an early watcher on the original channel when there were major music theory videos, which got me pulled back into music somewhat before it became an intense interest again in 2020. I would not be surprised if I watched all of yours and many other music KZbinrs' videos during those months from where everything was standing still. Your video with Ted today brought me a little bit of faint hope that there could be a place for me in a future music scene even though I'm not young anymore like that business prefers. I'd really love to be involved in something like artist development and production, and of course, write some really good songs. I have songs that have been stuck in my brain for a few decades now and your channel actually taught me how to name those sounds so that I could just get them on to instruments for later use. I'd really like to now learn the production part of the equation so that I can fully actualize these things that sound like full productions in my head now that I know how they would fit on the instruments I do play. I hope that there are other people who watch these channels that feel as intensely as I do about music now and feel inspired to go out there and make something happen.

22:30 ish, this list contains many channels that have been recommended (pushed) at me, because I watch your channel. I've watched some, they're ok, some are very good, but I try to watch everything Beato, because you get it right. You are the best, why would I watch the rest? I'm not a musician, but I'm very interested in music. You have helped me discuss music with musicians. You've helped understand what I love about great songs and why. Your interview short clips have pulled me into full interviews with people I didn't know I'd find interesting. The variety is what makes your channel so good. RB1, RB2, RB anything, What makes..., interviews, Top 10, Studio talk, Rick & Family, Rick & Friends, What Rick done last night, What Rick had for breakfast.... who cares what channel it's on. It'll probably be more interesting than most others. Suggestions: Channel name: Rick Rolled Handy channel addition: You often mention specific related old shows that we should check out. It not easy to do. Maybe add a link in the subject text? Maybe create video 'Playlists' Early days highlights "In the Beginning" "What Makes..." oldest first "Interviews" alphabetical "Music Theory" Etc. ❤

The Dirty Loops interview was top notch! You presented an active contemporary live band in a nice lo-key mood, letting them describe what they do and who they are. Interesting to learn how top quality music can emerge, though far beyond the Billboard lists. Also your co-op with Nahre Sol about scales was interesting, far beside the mainstream genres. And Gowan, Mancuso, Carlton & co, (a looong list). Just go on! Please, just don't fall into the "Microsoft trap" - they sometimes focus on learning from their mistakes, but forget to learn from their successes.

I'm not a musician. But your channel is fascinating. It's a lot like when my father would take an engine or drive train apart a teach me what each part was for. I'm also not mechanically inclined, but it was fascinating and I learned a lot. I'd say that you should dig in to less successful or well known songs by genius musicians. Songs on Floyd's Final Cut for instance. Keep it up.

Myself and my poor musician friends and family have gained so much great knowledge from your efforts. We are creating some amazing original tunes old school with real instruments, good tone and our chops. My bucket list is to record our combined efforts at Leon Russell’s Church Studio in Tulsa. I would love to recruit Rick Beato to produce us so it gets done right. Keep inspiring us

i would like for you to go over some of your production processes for some of your past projects....the details as to why you made particular choices etc.

I think that this channel would be a perfect vehicle for mixing and production. You have a ton of knowledge & expertise in that area, and we relatively don't see a lot of that from you.

Highlight versions of the long interviews would be a good use of this channel.

Beautiful music in the intro where really something happens and you know it's intelligent and so you stay alert and interestet. Maybe start composing and recording songs in live streams, but in a common home studio setup ? Respect to Rick Beato the best teacher and motivator on KZbin 🙏🏼✌🏼

I like the idea of interviewing artists that have yet to break and giving them much needed exposure. I also like the idea of reviewing songs by lesser known, indie bands, like was mentioned in the chat.

I second review of classical music. I often listen to classical music while studying or when I just need calming time.

I see an ethereal cartoonized version of you as an older man your musical thoughts bursting like an electrical field... Connected to nature, sound , stars and events in time. It's like a picture of your brain, your spirit... Your all. Great music!! If only AI could add to the connection you have with people in a nondestructive way.
