Makeup/baby wipes spread dirt on your face as much as they remove it. Most people don't recommend them anymore. (Also super bad for the environment). Even when lacking time, a 1 minute cleanse at a sink is going to be better. But thank you for the retinol tips!

Great video per usual Cody. I just want to say thank you for making such great products. I have Melasma and your products have helped my skin to pretty well control it, I stay on top of it every single day! Recently my skin became super dry & dehydrated, causing my face to burn when I cleansed, even the most gentle cleansers CeraVe and Cetaphil would burn when I applied to my face. I was at a loss and then remembered I had purchased your Gentle Nutrient Rich Cleanser that you recently started selling on your Montarbo Skincare site. Cody I used it and haven't stopped, it was so gentle and there was no burning! It cleaned my makeup and Sunscreen and once again I can't stop raving about your products! My search for the perfect Cleanser is over, thank you Cody!💜

The Costco baby wipes are awesome, but they have micellar water makeup wipes now that are even better!! Love them!! Love you too Cody, still using my vitamin C every single day!!! It’s amazing!!! I use prescription Retin-A micro 0.1% strength, and I use it in my hands, neck, chest, and hands. I absolutely swear by it, my fine lines and wrinkles have reduced around 80% (I’m 43). I’m really lucky to have a Dr. who prescribes it to me regularly, and when used consistently over years, it is a skin miracle in my opinion.

I’m a skincare fanatic, always researching and taking great care of my skin. I’ve found that if I mix equal parts of my moisturizer with Retin A when my skin is starting to feel taut or slightly dry from using the Retin A, I can continue use, but the “diluted” version keeps my skin from going haywire. 😉 Also, I’ve found alternating nighttime use of Retin A with either Sunday Riley Good Genes, Farmacy Honeymoon Glow or another exfoliating product is the perfect combo for me!

Do you wait 20min to 1 hour to let the retina sink in and then apply the moisturizer I currently wait 15 minutes to let the water dry and apply retina and the moisturize right after and I’m purging so bad my acne was never bad I just had a lot of closed comodones and now I have extreme cystic acne and I have no idea what to do I don’t want give up but it’s so hard with all this acne on my face ! Try that for a little while and see what happens. Does your moisturizer have bad oils that block or congest your pores?

My bestie and I are both coincidentally on altreno . I’m slowly starting to see results now doing your technique! I’ve been on altreno since July, and doing super great! I’ve been doing it your way for about 3 weeks now, but I finally see a subtle difference around my eyes! I just began carefully applying it under the eyes, crows feet etc. My under eyes a little patchy in the am, just like you said it would! So I gently remove the patches, and moisturize! I’m not going to stop, because like you said it looks worse at first. When you explained the long term benefits, it’s 100% worth it to me! So it’s just temporary, and the long term is what it’s allllllll about! I’ll be sharing your video, and having my bestie subscribe to you 😘 Thank you for your education, I wish I lived near you because I’d be your client for life!

I lived in the UAE for many years, before returning to Canada and it was SO cheap there - and you could buy it over the counter at the pharmacies. I stocked up. I started using RetinA only a year ago - and I’m in my sixties - wish I’d started years ago - but I sought advice from a dermatologist (who also gave me 5 radio frequency treatments) and he advised I start with 0.25 and am now using 0.05 - the doc told me that to prevent dryness to always make sure your face is really dry (after you clean it) before putting on the cream - keep the cream out of the folds beside the mouth (gets red) and also to prevent dryness mix the RetinA with the same amount of moisture cream and then put on the face. Made such a difference. I love this stuff - my dermatologist said all you need is two things - RetinA and a good sun screen! :)

I’m now in my 50’s eeek🙄 but I started Retin A in my early 30s. I worked as an Esthetician for Aveda for 24 years (retired now) and I found that if I combine equal parts Aveda hydrating mask with my Retin A it’s the perfect combination to sleep in and really helps with the flakiness Retin A can cause. The mask is very affordable, I think $24 and I haven’t yet had the need for injections 🙌🏻 Also makes your Retin A last sooo much longer as it’s pretty spendy. I really like your channel, I’ve never commented before but I do enjoy you and all your fabulous tips and tricks.. thank you for educating 💗

Montarbo Skincare you are welcome, thank you!! I know that trick saved so many of my clients and helped them get through the rough patch which can last upward to 6 plus months 😳 Retin A makes everything worse before it gets better and it’s hell to get through. Cheryl f. You’re welcome!! Just combine equal parts (start with pea sizes) adjust from there, maybe even just slightly more of the mask and emulsify in your hands before putting it on. It’s a game changer! 💗 Keep in mind you may still flake during the day and you can just keep a hydrating spray with you to spritz with as needed or keep your mask with you and reapply on problem areas 😊

Hello, I discovered a few things that are important to mention. First of all, you are using too much retinol on your face. You only need a very small amount that you should gently stroke onto the skin and let it absorb. You should not apply it once and then apply it again. When it comes to the eye area, you should be very careful. Apply retinol on your forehead, cheeks, and chin, as retinol works with receptors and will spread to the entire face, including areas where you didn't directly apply it. The areas to avoid applying retinol are the eye area, the nose and its sides, and around the mouth. The receptors will ensure that these areas are also affected. If you want to use retinol on these areas, you can consider purchasing an eye cream with retinol, which usually has a lower concentration, but it is unnecessary. Furthermore, it is important to apply a moisturizer to the entire face after the retinol has absorbed. This will help prevent irritation and dryness, as retinol can be drying. It is also important to apply retinol on dry skin if you are very sensitive or have just started using retinol. If you are an experienced user, you can apply retinol on damp skin, as you have already built up tolerance. Damp skin allows retinol to penetrate faster and deeper, increasing the risk of irritation. If you want to be more cautious, you can first apply a moisturizer, wait for it to be absorbed, then apply retinol, and finally apply moisturizer on top of retinol to seal everything in. This is known as a retinol sandwich.

HI, ❤elanie Here, I am a retired Esthetician and Former Beauty College School Principal, I have trained nearly 100 Esties, during my career. Yes, our skin is the largest organ we have, yes its the first line of defence, against all bad bacteria and free radicals but as you stated "it handle a lot" As a lay person, clients need to super educate themselves b4 practicing many of the skincare routines and techniques implemented by us professionally... However !!! For those who have an Esthetician, I LOVE THAT YOU SAID, UR GETTING PAID TO TAKE THINGS TO THE NEXT LEVEL.. I see many videos discussing Retin A/ Aka Tretinoin where people freak on the purge,...Why is the Purge so dramatic... It's all in the skins MEMORY....if everyone had been taking regular daily steps, by properly double cleansing oil/ first, then a gentle cleanser, a leave on AHA' and BHA' as well as a couple serums, C, Hyaluronic Acid, and Naicinimide ( my faves) top it off with a good moisturizer b4 bed....the skin would could, and will adjust SO MUCH MORE WILLINGLY to Retin A Please let ur clients and readers know 2-3 months OF Great skincare, that includes AHA' or BHA's or both will prep that skin to receive Retin A like a Bikini is Ready for Hawaii... Finally !! An Esthetician who speaks the language every good Esthetician should be doing! Love @ you darlin 😘 ❤elanie

I will turn 30 this year and because of Retin-A I don't have any wrinkles specially around my eyes it's soft and bright! I know I'm still young but the results are amazing. I've been using it since I was a teenager and oh I forgot to say that I'm on organic foods and i always avoid the sun.

@Random dude I used it when I was in high school almost everyday because I had bad acne and my face was so dry but great results. Now I'm using it with the blue cerave moisturizer 4 times a week and sometimes every night and my skin is used to it. I cut it off 2 or 3 weeks and I go back to use it. Btw I never use the gel one I use the cream it's less drying

@Random dude is it your first time to use it? The results started to show after 1 month. I'm afraid Retin A would damage your skin since you have that problem. Do you use a gentle cleanser and a heavy moisturizer? I wish I could show you some of the products I mix with Retin A to make it less drying but I think it's not available in your country. Where do you live?

Hello Handsome! So glad u r back from ur travels. I'm still not able to hold a conversation as the swelling has lasted much longer than anticipated but I see my oral surgeon on Tuesday so hopefully will get the go ahead to be somewhere on this side of normal (not that I ever have been😂). I would like to run my current routine by you to make sure I'm on the right track and I'm ready to kick it up a notch. Of course I am staying on my Marvelous Montarbo skin brightening course but not sure if I should use the beauty elixir b4 step 3 or after. I'm currently not rinsing off step 2, then using step 3 then the b.e. waiting 15 min, using my curology (0.01% tretinoin, 2% azelaic acid, 4% niacinamide). After it dries I go into the Marvelous Montarbo peptide crm, hyaluronic acid, then eye cream as last step. I do this morning and night using the curology only at night. If I feel a bit dry at nite I add Ahava hydration creme mask or Atrac -Tain cream. Tell me about ur trip. 🤗🤗🤗💖💖💖

I found your channel on KZbin from a comment Sheri from Graceful Beauty made. Love this info! I just increased my Retin A from .05% (6 days a week) to .1% (1ce per week). How often would you recommend I use the increased dosage? Or do you think for wrinkles I am better off using .05% since I use it more frequently?

Thank you so much for being here. I love Sheri. To be honest I wouldn’t be concerned The percentage as I would be with how much you apply and how frequently. Typically we tell people to use it three times a week at minimum. I released a video “ Retin-A 101” a few weeks ago that could help.

I’ve been using it for years... not all the time just during months I am in doors the most. you have to work with it, it becomes and art... how to lightly peel, and exfoliate ,but not to much and m must to use moisturizers when not using the Retin- A like during the day. Someone asked how do they know it is working... after weeks and a few months the ne skin will surface after the old skin has sloughed off,( that’s the purpose of Retin-A or get rid of the old skin and let that new skin shine out! OH! And don’t forget your sunscreen before going outside!

Now it seems I am acclimated but I still don’t feel like I see any results. I use it immediately after cleansing and lightly towel drying. I thought that was the way to get it absorbed the best. Do you think I should try this moisturizer trick for better results?

I have sensitive skin too. Skin gets irritated & red! But îve been using retin a for about 3 years. Go slow with it to avoid a lot of irritation. I started out at .25 using every 4 days for about 3 weeks, then if not much irritation, used it every third day for 3 weeks, and so on. I'm up to the strongest now on my face every night and it has really been good to get rid of fine lines, tighten pores, got rid of some small crows feet, decreased a little sag, but REALLy helped the crepey skin on my neck! I just can't use as strong retain a on my neck as my face. Hardly anyone can. Always use moisturizer first on neck; it doesn't have near as many oil glands as the face does. I'm sure Cody knows better than I do about this though.
