If you ask me brother, you are living the dream life. You look so happy, calm, clean minded and so in peace with yourself. I am making a huge amount of money here in Canada but I also have one of the highest cost of living in the world so I am left with nothing at the end of the month, I wont even have a good enough retirement to stay in the country if it continue like that. I can't work online and I don't have enough investment to just leave the country without a salary but seeing you like this just give me the strength to find a way to earn money online and quit Canada for good and travel the world as a nomad. I mean why not right, I would rather make less money but live a peaceful life than making more money but living a stressful life.

You still don't know truly about Laos. You are foreigner there. LAO PEOPLE THINK EVERY FOREIGNERS ARE RICH. The true is not every foreigners there are rich. Lao people treat you good because you bring money to them. Right now he is visiting. He stays only for short time. Well, when he live long time there you will see true color of people there. Oh one more thing please don't be get serious illness or sick there, when you go to see Lao doctors or nurse. They are going to ask you first question is Do you have money? If you say yes, I do. They make you pay first, then doctor or nurse will take care of you. If you say no. The doctor or nurse are going to let you suffer or die like there. They don't look at you at all. I'm so glad I stumbled upon your videos from Laos. We are going back in January after almost 8 years. It is our favorite SE Asian country. I love that you immerse yourself in the local vibe and don't spend a lot of time on site seeing. It would really be great if, as you walk around the town, you can map your walk. Then we'd know just where in the town you are. So my suggestion is, show a map , say of Luang Prabang, in the beginning of your video with your walking route, so we can follow it. A great example of doing this is Unseen Thailand in Chiang Mai. He does a super job and viewers can get so much more out of what they see in the video. Thanks for considering the suggestion. I love your videos!

My wife has family there. She came to the US as a refugee in 1986. Laos has improved and advanced tremendously. The Lao people like Americans, as long as you are respectful, follow their customs and laws and add something to the local community. IE: donations to the local schools, health care facilities or the elderly. Cant wait. You videos are really inspiring. Keep up the great comments and discussions @@RetireandGo

The local people pronounce it Lao. And the town is pronounced LuAng PrAbAng. Not Lu-ung Prabung. They are 'A's not 'u's. And yes, it's a nice place to live, but it doesn't have a proper long term retirement type visa.

Just make sure about the super increase in property taxes coming on strong, everywhere in the US. Somebody has to pay for the national debt and others college tuition, immigration etc. But it's great to have somewhere in the US to fall back on giving the world situation and you're always a visitor that can be told to leave. Undeveloped land that you can camp on while building, so the taxes are the lowest. 🤙

Retire & Go Bro, I retired from US to Thailand 10 months ago. Laem Mae Phim is currently my home base. I've visited Phrom Penh, Cambodia (too busy for me) for 2 weeks just recently and looking for my next trip. I need that Hilo feel. Luang Prabang will be my next trip next month. Mahalo.

Excellent video, I will retire in 3 years. The Parisian life tires me out. LP is a city that I need. I knew LP in the 70s with my parents, I returned there 20 years ago, so many changes. The city has developed well in the meantime. The people seem cool. May this destination remain preserved for travelers who love peace and tranquility.

9:46 what are you talking about??? I bought camry 2011 in 2014, was paid in full for 14k. No payments, insurance 200 in 6 month! Owning for 10 years now. Depreciation is 7k. New tires, 2 batteries, lambda sensor, oil change 1500. So 14+7+1,5+4(insurance) equal 26.5. Divide by 10 equal 2650. Divide by 12 equal 220$ a month!!!

The Best Walk and Talk podcast on retiring in S.E. Asia, Great job! Your a natural... I sold my place in Manoa Valley, Honolulu, over ten years ago and was just stressed out over cost of living and America in general.. Moved to Calif. and its no better! America has lost its way and getting worse daily. I spent time in Thailand and loved it.. Retirement laws are changing there making it tough to stay long term now. I have a few bucks and my SS benefits and I'm fit at 69 and ready to retire perm. in S. E. Asia.. Any suggestions are welcome! Done with the American Nightmare, time to get out.. Keep up the great videos, will continue to follow your videos..

Planning is the most important element of a successful retirement. More important than how much money you have saved, more than the future success of your investments. A solid plan also gives you the confidence to stick to your plan when things outside of your control occur. If you don't know where to start to develop a retirement plan, a meeting with a financial planner will get you started on the right path.
