I believe the retirement crisis will get even worse. Many struggle to save due to low wages, rising prices, and exorbitant rents. With homeownership becoming unattainable for middle-class Americans, they may not have a home to rely on for retirement either.

Got it! Buying stocks during a recession when prices are down could be a good move. You might get them at a lower price and sell later when they go up. Just do your homework and be aware of the risks before diving in!

@@FlorentGulliver That's awesome! Investing in stocks with a reliable trading system can lead to great outcomes. It's fantastic that you've been working with a financial advisor for a year now. We relate so much to her history and her situation and decision to live in Italy, it was amazing! So we needed her experience and info! Just wish pictures could have been shown…the grocery store, the beach, the streets, the little restaurants in her little town and her apartment even, that would have been great to see.

My U.S. health insurance (Medicare and BC) cost close to $6,000 per year for just a single person. It did pay for cataract surgery and for treatment of a broken arm.

Compared to Manhattan, where I am now, I could easily do €600/mo! 🤣 Though I'm much more interested in buying a little place outright. I'm already looking at all kinds of property videos from Abruzzo to Puglia, regions where I'm particularly interested in. Hope to do a scouting trip and meet expats as soon as next summer, 2025. Maybe you should make people aware that, no matter how cheap property and food is, when it comes to gas & electricity, costs are astronomical. And you can take that as fact, as not only do i have a brother & sister living there, but also countless friends. I am also paying the gas & electric standing charges on my parents house, and i can assure you, it's not cheap. Furthermore, the area from Silvi all the way down to Pescara is considered rather "dodgy" by most locals, with many illegal people just wandering the streets and beaches.
@purpletoo125 ай бұрын
Helpful..I was wondering about safety.
@vincenzocherubini24245 ай бұрын
@@purpletoo12 Depends on the locality. Over the past few years there's been lots on the news about people returning to their homes only to discover changed locks and squatters, very hard to evict. Also, even in small towns/villages, you need to be careful of burglaries/break-ins. The days of leaving door open or key in the door are long gone. Also, a lot of local police stations closed, so you have to call the nearest larger town, if they can be bothered to send someone!
