Couldn't pass on picking up a couple of UCS AT-AT when Lego cleared them for $680 - $100 Rakuten - $68 Lego Insiders value (Double points weekend) - $60 (Selling the GWP) - $15 credit card cash back. After taxes, basically in for about $500 each.

It’s my favorite set. It’s perfect. And there’s no reason to think it won’t be $2,000 NIB at some point. I wanted to buy one to invest but just strapped for cash. Phenomenal deal by Lego. Lots of people got a quick 5-6 hundred bucks from flipping it.

I need to up my game. Def not selling my LoTR brickheadz while I know Bag End and another LoTR set are slated for 2025 and a new movie at some point next yr. My theory is that people don’t know what to get someone at Christmastime and they say “so and so loves to read, get them this” . Otherwise I can’t really see the appeal of books are my passion set. It’s just too small. For my personal collection I might pay $20.

High prices all depends who is buying the item. Usually pensioners with grand kids pay a high price. Most people will just buy the current sets on sale on the shop and there is plenty to choose from.

The Mandalorian Starfighter was over hoarded, and literally every reseller decided to hold on to the set, so supply was low shortly after retirement, hence the high price right after it retired. This happens with a lot of sets and resellers. The Mandalorian Starfighter is one of the most over-hoarded sets and you're going to be holding on to that thing for a LOOOONG time. That's why I passed. I, instead, have been selling Lloyd's Golden Ultra Dragons :) Easy money.

Jazz was such a good set, got a ton on a nice discount. Walmart's sale, Barnes sale+GWP 5 separate orders, some off lego with GWPs. Main Street at Christmas 10308 was a great one too with Walmart's 40% sale I think, I sold all mine thinking they'd go down after Christmas but they're drying up on Amazon. Was looking at older Xmas sets too they didn't appreciate much but I might've been wrong on that in regards to this set. I sell both on Amazon and Walmart, good to have options, but the volume on Amazon is unparalleled.

The price decline for the Mando Starfighter was easy to guess. 2 of 3 figures were published in the LEGO magazines here in in Germany/Europe. So a minifig now costs 5-6 Dollar. You american guys are buying everything on Bricklink and these Minifigs are going in huge bulks overseas. Last year I sold over 100 Bo Katans to US. This set is dead.

It depends how quickly you want to sell your sets. I'd start by looking at ebay sold in new condition, and comparing that value with the lowest available in new condition now. Today's "market price" will be between those two values
