RETIRED DANCER'S REACTION+REVIEW: BTS "Permission To Dance" M/V+Dance Practice!

WTF DOES “OG KPOP STAN" EVEN MEAN?! Supposedly "original gangster”, can be seen as “old generation", personally viewed as “old-school”.🤓
I became an avid Korean music aka Kpop listener/lover since 1998. Korean and rap music were my coping mechanisms from the bullying I experienced in middle school through high school and my love for the genre has stuck by me ever since.
Unfortunately, I took a huge break from Korean music around 2015 when I was officially diagnosed with lupus nephritis and seizures; I was receiving and battling years of chemotherapy and dialysis along with taking 32 pills a day, so I had no mental/emotional/spiritual room to keep myself updated with the genre. Luckily, I'm in remission now! Doesn't mean that lupus and seizures are gone because I am still very capable of frequent flare-ups of I don't take care of myself, but I make sure to do so enough to manage and live as "normally" as possible.
When I made this KZbin name, I was thinking from my graphic-design-major perspective of a brand that will not only describe what my content will be about but will also align with the times, and y’all know that “Kpop stans” have been a thang for awhile now so hence the cringe-worthy title, OG KPOP STAN. (My love for Eminem is also relevant.😂) ALSO! Just to be SUPER clear- me calling myself an "OG kpop stan" does NOT mean that anyone who's listened to kpop after me is inferior or less-than. A kpop lifestyle is a kpop lifestyle regardless of time. Please don’t get that sh*t twisted.😛 Sooo I am currently and actively keeping a weather eye on the KPOP horizon!

Also the landing moves is exactly how super hero’s land. Just watch all the super hero movies, BTS’s saving the world from depression 💜 And indeed on the office wall you see the word ‘disABILITY’. It’s as mentioned before July is Disability Pride month. In the end all the staff and the 4 HYBE CEO’s were dancing right behind Hobi and Suga. The mv start with the trailer where you can find Suga reading the news paper of 2022. Headline ‘Purple Balloons signals the end of COVID’

oh also! the clip at the end of the mv is with bts' staff!! it was so heartwarming to see them included. the purple balloons are meant to signal the end of the pandemic approaching, which goes along with the fact everyone is taking off their masks in the video! bts really just wanted to give us another happy bop to push us through the end of this sh*t lol

Elton John also posted about this song! As other said, this gift is really precious for ARMY because of the time and hoping for a better future soon. Being honest, probably not in my fav BTS song lists because of the heavy modified voices in this specific song (autotune doesn't bother me when well used) but really enjoy the song, the vibe, the MV with all these normal people and love how they incorporated sign language and the rap line singing. The Live versions are already so nice and I look forward to the day we will be able to sing and dance along with them during a concert. Thanks for the reaction.

I love the that they represented the people most affected by the pandemic and the use of international sign language was a wonderful idea. This is a celebration. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 Glad you're feeling better. I've had a lot of problems with my throat and voice and recently discovered a natural remedy. Thyme tea. Look into it if you're interested. Here's the recipe. Add 3 or 4 sprigs fresh thyme or 1 teaspoon dry thyme to a cup of boiling water and let steep for 5 to 8 minutes. Strain if any leaves are left in the cup.
