Lovely to see you living your dream. I packed in working and moved to Spain to live in a small village in a small cave-house. Spent nearly two years making it comfortable to live in and converting a pile of rubble into a vegetable garden. I have no car, no job and few expenses. Couldn't be happier.

I have challenged myself to put away 50% of my monthly income into stocks which is quite easy since I live frugal without debt. I work as an account executive, and make over $17300. $8650 goes into dividends, stocks, ETF’s and other investments , and the $2,500 covers my my food plus living expenses monthly. I am seeing improvements in my portfolio, dividends look certain, but I have to attribute this to only to guidance of a licensed technical trade analyst who allocates funds to a plethora of assets for me I am so in love with this channel. I am 40 years old and just started investing in stocks, and ETFs. I even started my IRA, and 401k with the help of my licensed trade analyst I’ve been able to compound over $31k in profits from my trades. I have to stay disciplined, and remember that I’m in it for the long term. Good luck to everyone and thanks for the great video.

These people are brilliant. It is true if you retire debt free, you can do so much more. My husband and I are in our mid to late 40s and we are only a year and a half away from paying off our mortgage. We have money in the bank for our two kids to go to college and steady retirement savings. We can do it because we live in a modest townhouse, instead of these huge expensive single family homes. Sometimes I would like a bigger nicer home but when I think of all the financial freedom, we have I know it was worth it.
@TeakWoodIsHard6 ай бұрын
I live in a nice full home t we the a pool, cars, etc. I did it by paying a looong mortgage at 3.3% on a $600k The home appreciation here averaged 15% over 10 years and the money I didn’t out into paying off the mortgage earned 20% It’s nice to use the banks money all these years to set up our retirement earnings at 21% interest that compounds until I croak

Wade Cahill - I’ve been a live a board since 2003. I don’t even consider moving back on shore. It’s certainly not for everyone but you would be surprised at those that do and their profession. Executives , medical field workers , engineers , lawyers etc. Its like a small community and we all watch out for each other. Marina has great security and rarely do we have any issues. The big difference in living in a boating community than in a sub division is when on a boat you always have something in common with your neighbors. The love of boating and the water. Also living on land you may never have the opportunity to have neighbors from all walks of life. Meaning in homes people are separated by the income. Those who live in large gated communities tend to be your high income professionals thus you would never have any neighbors like that if you’re a low income worker. At the marinas your all neighbors and guess what. Everyone treats each other the same. Kinda like the old saying one for all and all for one. Most boaters at marinas are very social. Their are negatives too. It’s not totally perfect. Bad weather can be rough sometimes. Winters can be tough because you have to walk so far from your boat to the parking lot. My opinion is the good outweighs the bad.

I want to be such the joyful live-aboard: entertaining friends with my best (cute, floral) chinaware and crystal tumblers (I don't do well with stemware), savoring every bite and bit of my creativity from what's at hand, someday nurturing grandchildren from the stead of a marina or adventurous destinations afar, loving my forever (or fur-ever) companion while rocking with the wake or tides of my MARI-ner existence. Most important would be to let my three fabulous, adult children see that their free-spirited Mom has finally come to be in her realm. I'd come close on two occasions, totalling seven years.
