Have you ever been to Granville Beach in Trinidad and do you find it different from previous years?

Wow. Certainly brings back fantastic memories of the place we spent many vacations. We also used to stay at the Lall's house. Thank you for sharing your adventure and reminding me of how lucky we were growing up in Point Fortin. Happy to see your Dad, and please send our best wishes. He certainly was one of the nicest Old Men on the camp. Keep well Sir.

I will certainly tell him. Point Fortin was definitely a good place to grow up.

It warns my heart to see you are fortunate to still have your dad around. Continue to cherish him. He certainly added much more history to the content of this video. Just loving every momment of his input. I does not mean that I am down playing your efforts but it means a whole lot to me to see father and son together still together even after retirement. I lost my father at a very tender age. Forgive me for saying that I am extremely jealous of you.

I take no offense to your saying that my father added more to the video than I did. He certainly knew more than I did about Granville. Yes I do cherish him.

I enjoyed this vid. I love the narration, information shared and visuals. I remember going to this particular beach as a child. It was one of my favs.. white sand, that same blue/green water you spoke about. I loved it. It’s sad to see its being reclaimed by the ocean.

Yes it is sad however during the dry season it is still nice as there is still sand.

Greta video! Love your documenting these areas. Looks like it could use an offshore barrier reef to prevent further erosion, rather than fighting it at the shore.

@@Hardenjade One has to be very discerning when reading newspaper reports. Very often reporters are not familiar with the areas and simply attach the name of the largest village in the area to their news report when the incident was miles away. I have family from Canada who went to that beach this week and I would have stopped them if it was dangerous. In fact I would not do any videos for KZbin if any dangerous areas.
@Hardenjade
@Hardenjade 2 жыл бұрын
@@pointboy12 that incident actually took place on the beach itself, but i guess its an isolated situation, i use to fish there in the past but since that ive never been down that side.

Brian like you I spent my childhood holidays in one of the beach houses nearby. When we last went to the beach house road we were stopped by security and told that we cannot go because it was privately owned. Yes the person that your father mentioned, had said that he owned the road and beach front. So we have been to the car park side many times since but never tried to go to the other side again.
@pointboy12
@pointboy12 2 жыл бұрын
I shot this video two weeks ago on a Saturday and there was no security around and no one stopped me from going down the road. In fact there was nothing to stop us from driving down that road.

@@pointboy12 Yes that is why I am glad to see the video. When we were stopped, that way many years ago I guess more than ten years ago, so I am glad to see what it is like now. Seems like it has been so since the bar closed down. The changes that is. Someone else have a recent video but he did not go to the houses.

I also spent time at a Grandville beach house owned by the Apang family...what a joy it was to be at that beach! My parents operated the pharmacy called Sinanan's Drug Store at #45 Main Road, Point Fortin & I know some Ramseys & Pinards too. Was there a Charlene Ramsey at PFC or Dunlop/ Caribbean Tyre Co ?(I worked there in d 70's) I lived downstairs from Gerry Pinard at d Petrotrin Family Apts, now called Clifton Court...used to sit out in the courtyard on evenings with Jackie & d kids & feed their fish when the family went abroad.

You have got the correct family. That is why I called my channel Pointboy12. She went to PFC. The Pinard you saw commenting is one of the brothers. I am happy that I was able to bring back happy childhood memories.
