Now retirement benefits are better if compared to old pensioners . I retired in feb1996 and I got about less than four lakhs as retirement as officers for about 14 yrs and 20yrs as clerical job. Spf is not paid in full on retirement and bank refused to pay it's contribution to spf and I as others got spf amounts as my own contribution to spf .pension is not revised since it's introduction in ps banks. Great loss to bank retirees and think after comparing all the benefits with other pensioners. In a nutshell joining bank is not profitable but a loss of big amount in spf as bank contribution is not paid to uou.so think in a best way before joining any bank.

Sir, why you are misleading the new public wishing to join ps banks if you compared the bank retirement with govt pensioners who were better paid due to better pay scale and salary with no responsibility but bank staff have some responsibility and finish daily job allotted to them. I remained in bank service for 34 yrs with about 20yrs as clerk and 14 yrs as officers seven in Assam and retired in Feb 1996 and got retired benefits for about less than Rs. Four lakhs and banks did not pay our spf amount in full and thus deprived of about Rs. 1.lakh 34 thousand only as bank did not pay on retirement as I opted for pension and gratuity limit was about 3 lakh but I got only one lakh fifty four thousand only but now it's limit is 20 lakhs which was enhance ed from 10 lakh for 3 lakhs but it's enhanced limit benefit is not paid but govt staff are paid the difference of this enhancement In a nut she'll banks staff are looser if compared to govt pensioners who are better paid with no responsibility and accountability which is accountable in case of bank staff.our pension has never been revised since it's introduction introduction banks where as our MP and MLA'S are drawing big pension though not entitled for pension as they cannot fulfill it's requirements and are crore Pati s who are not penionable according to govt laws. So you are misleading general public introductionterested to join and my advise is not to to join banks and prefer for govt service who are better paid than bank staff..
