Sorry you are one of his duped viewers. Keep in mind this character worked a couple of hours a day for 33 years and never owned a home. I am not so sure he is the person anyone should be taking financial advice from P.S. Keep in mind the few things he owns is from a fraudulent EIDL loan and the social security he receives is from a spouse. There are numerous parody channels about him because many have come to realize that he is a fraud.

@@MarvinMcKenziePreacher What you should be wondering is WHY so many people take hours H-O-U-R-S out of their week to create videos trying to shed some light on Tim. Are they really just awful, horrible people who are attacking some poor, innocent guy? I’ve gotten to know some of them personally. They are, without exception, kind, intelligent, caring people. Forgive me for saying so, but I think you’re blinded by the fact that Tim makes a huge business of saying he’s a Godly man.

There is so much to unpack about Tim, one could say so much. He needs to get income from his prison job KZbin ( his terminology ) what you see is just a persona. Many have tried to help with constructive comments/opinions yet with rebuffed with snarky replies from him. He says 'I do me you do you' a very unpleasant way to reply to someone his attempt to shut someone down, of course he follows up with blocking said person. Many don't like his one size fits all with regard to Social Security. I wish you and your wife all the best good health.

Sarasota Tim gives bad advice regarding anything financial and retirement, I believe that is the main reason people are criticizing him. But, Sarasota Tim is now 65 years old and has not learned basic tenants in life he has not learned, there is basic etiquette regarding the use of your RV when you’re overnighting at a truckstop or in a Walmart or to Cracker Barrel, he just flaunts the accepted rules for doing that and make it harder for everyone else because when he flaunts those rules then the businesses look to shut down the overnighting at those businesses. now, you wanted something positive, Tim is a great talker I wouldn’t necessarily call him a communicator but he can talk to anybody and it seems about anything even if he doesn’t know anything about it, he does seem like he’d be a good guy to have a beer with, but I think it all goes back to the advice he tries to give people and it’s just flat wrong and has the potential to harm people by having them make bad decisions about their financial health and their retirement and their Social Security. You seem like a guy that has planned for his retirement and I give you two big thumbs up for that. Tim has never owned a house he’s worked very little by his own admission throughout his life he’s never saved any money he’s never made any investments, and he’s just not a guy you should be taking financial advice from.

When anyone asks a question about things he has said or done , and he doesn't like it he blocks you from his channel. He claims to be debt free which is not true. He took out a FRAUDULENT EIDL loan out , and pays $300 a month for the next 30 yrs. Now he is using God which is disgraceful. I could go on an on to why I think people don't like him .

My point to you, sir, is that you are excusing and endorsing a man who you have not taken the time to research. The channels you speak of, like mine, were created by people who recognized something off about Sarasota Tim. They watched, they listened, they did their research. Not one of them does it because they are looking to build monetized channels for personal profit. As a matter of fact, I know at least one person donates their KZbin income to nonprofits. Tim doesn’t do that. He makes as many videos as he can to make as much money as he can. For himself. Doesn’t matter if it’s the same boring video of him shopping at Walmart or a devotional from a man who admits he doesn’t even own a Bible. On top of that, he asks people to send him money: support his Amazon link or send him coffee money. And then he says, “take social security as soon as you can, like I did” because then you can start a KZbin channel and ask other people to support your life.

I haven’t seen any recent content he has done on retirement. Last summer he had some on Social Security and his own research on Medicare. Back then he seemed to be leaning against advantage plans. All I vet saw was him reading through stuff and sharing his understanding of it. Pretty innocuous in my opinion

I totally agree with you. I've watched ALL his videos, and what I see is a bunch of people that see someone out there doing what works for them, living life on his own terms, and sharing God's word. Haters will hate when they are feeling badly about their own lives. So what do they do? They resort to negativity as the ONLY means of making themselves feel better. I've noticed that all those channels that are talking bad about ST have nothing else to talk about. If ST didn't exist, they wouldn't have channels or they would find someone else to speak bad about. You will also notice that their sub count is extremely low. In reality they should all be thanking ST for his content, otherwise they would have nothing to talk about. They lack in their own creativity and make money off the back of someone else. Completely lazy channels. I will not state my opinion of ST good or bad. I do find him entertaining and I do appreciate his "crushing it for Christ" content. Honestly, I think that has a lot to do with it. As soon as someone finds Jesus and starts to share, the persecution begins. As far as the content around collecting SS at 62, I feel if it works for some, then more power to them. It won't work for all and he does speak to that. If my circumstances allow, I will definitely be taking advantage of early SS. Tim is not the only one I have seen lately who speaks about taking it early, and the ones I have seen are financial advisors. So...to all those speaking against it, he's not completely off the mark. My advice is if you're able and your finances align, then why not? Ok long rant but I hope that helps. May I suggest that if you don't want to listen to the negativity, then click on the "do not recommend this channel" and you won't have to deal with all the negative Karens out there. Make your own opinion based on what you see from ST. If you don't like him then stop watching. If you like him, then sub him and keep watching. Wishing you all the best.

It's unfortunate that some adults want to call anyone that disagrees with Tim a hater. Thats childish and really just designed to shut people up who see that what Tim is trying to communicate is financially dangerous. But that is what they do and no sense trying to convince them otherwise. Anyway, Tim's advocates a course that would in many cases leave a retiree in near poverty, he puts a positive spin on an unrealistic lifestyle. Having suffered through many of his videos and trying to summarize his gameplan it is clear to me that he basically shoots from the hip and has no plan. Since he retired and took SS at the earliest possible time he is locked into a low benefit and not to mention he saved nothing from his working years so trying to live a middle-class lifestyle at almost the poverty level funding. That is not a good idea. Furthermore, he insults those of us that have sacrificed and saved, he thinks all workers except himself are in prison jobs and never has an honest talk about the negatives of his chosen path and the stress that it has to cause him. Real hope and contentment in life comes from having order and living a life that is pleasing to our wonderful savior who died on a cross in the ultimate gift of love. It is not trying to convince people that taking the easy way out in retirement and living above your means, depending on others to supply your needs and really taking advantage of people is not in my view a positive message. Others disagree that is their right and privilege.

Hi Thomas A few points of observation… 1. I NEVER called anyone that disagrees with Tim a hater. I disagree with Tim on a number of points. However, there are SOME of these folks who have demonstrated hatred. Some have expressed it now toward me. They are fixated on hurting Tim and one in particular believes he (or she - I do not know which) needs to attack me too just because I said something. 2. Mine comments were meant mostly to point out a curious set of KZbin channels that seemed to be dedicated to attacking Tim. I am not sure any of these channels are haters of Tim. They seem to be building their channels off of Tim’s popularity. 3. I am interested in the phenomenon of KZbin growth. I subscribed to Tim last summer but didn’t watch much for the last several months as my life got very busy and distracted with my wife’s cancer and our relocation. I happened to have watched one of his videos when he was moving across country. My KZbin feed then exploded with all these other channels that use Sarasota Tim in the title but are mocking, disagreeing, parodying or worse. At this point I have to filter through all of these channels I have not subscribed to to find the one channel, the original Sarasota Tim, I have subscribed to. 4. At least last summer Tim was very clear that he is not a financial advisor He just likes, or claims to like, the life he has chosen. He is pleasant to listen to. He is friendly and positive. Again, his lifestyle is not one I would choose for myself. I was merely observing how some channels are only “Tim Focused.” If they think he is so wrong, why don’t they create some better content? You can disagree with me. That is YOUR right and privilege. :-)

If a commenter takes any exception to anything he says he eliminates them from his channel. I know this is a hard concept to those who for whatever reason feel it is their duty to protect someone that claims to be a follower of the way but doesn't show in their lifestyle choices that they are in fact taking the actual words of the Scriptures seriously. In short, you like who you want to like, you defend who you want to defend but understand that those who make fun of Tim can do so with a clear conscience because I haven't seen one mistruth in the many parody channels I have come across. While it is true that my crystal ball is out of order, broken, I'm relatively certain that at some point in the future your good buddy Tim is going to find himself in a precarious financial position of his own making. At that point it will become your sacred duty to financially support him to prove to all of us "haters" that you really care. We will be watching and will marvel at your generosity.

Your right on with your opinion. People that go to all the trouble to make video's on a certain guys channel just to put another human being down are more evil and trash then the person there trying to destroy. I don't agree with much of what ST says but i think it's more funny then anything. So what if he's making money off his many video's a day. More power to him. All these other negative channels that talk bad about him are doing the same thing, trying to profit off his channel !!! there no different.
