There are now more than 7 000 Expats from all over the world in Cuenca.. Still the greatest place to retire..Most people dont have 8000 a month to blow.. I am living like a queen on 1100!! Depends on whether you want Little America or if you are able to assimilate into the local community.. Most expats do not bother to learn Spanish and are therefore cutting themselves off from the real ecuador

Rob Tam, what are you talking about, free stuff in the USA., since when? medical, housing and food in the USA nobody gives anything for free unless you pay for it.
