I’m an agent and offer Whole as well as IUL. My IUL clients from 18 years ago are absolutely doing very well with their policies. A few of them have used policy loans to buy cars or pay for college over the years and paid their loans off. I’m trying to see things from your perspective. I can only see the scenarios you both describe play out, if the policy was under funded, or over sized. The other thing that can wreck an IUL is when the design is set to increasing in all years. My high net worth older clients are set up with Whole Life policies. I’m working to make sure my clients are set up correctly. Again. I’ve not seen anything go awry on my clients from 18 years ago. Why don’t you guys get the actuaries from the providers on your chat show?

Actuaries that work for companies are not allowed to interview... If what you're saying is true, look up the #IULchallenge and submit to win.

So Doug Andrews, one of the biggest names in financial advisory on KZbin and social media is totally wrong in advocating for IUL? Guy has 50 years of experience. Your take?
@LIFE18010 ай бұрын
Yeah....my take is that he is a joke. Do yourself a favor and Google, "Doug Andrew Lawsuit" Doug is a great marketer, for sure. That's where it ends

Bingo! Andrew's way over promises...

Do not do an IUL at 62 years old if you need the cash value for income in any way. If you want a real assessment with the CFP on my team, use this link and I will connect you LIFE180.com/clarity-call

At 62 you can invest in Index Annuity definetely not IUL.

Only that they are fixed, you can’t change or change your monthly payment. A better example would be to talk about the pros and cons of both. They both have limitations.
@LIFE1808 ай бұрын
Whole life base premiums are fixed, but not the entire premium. They are FAR MORE flexible than IUL agents (or even most whole life agents) know.

The easiest way I knock out IUL is compare the greed sheet vs whole life. Of course participating w/l
@Bryan-om3wq Жыл бұрын
Easiest way I knock out a whole life, is explain is the fees in an IUL, and how they work, and then try to find them on a WL policy ... oh wait, the hide em. So then I go show a client the ACTUAL returns on an IUL, vs a whole life. Then we explain LOAN rates, and how majority of the WL companies have a negative spread on their loans, both recognition and non direct, then explain how the agent put more money to their BASE DB than the PUA. I love beating up on the 70/30 or 60/40, then show them a 90/10. Easy PEASY!

@@Bryan-om3wq then you really don’t know about whole life. I’m in this business 41 years. When I got into this business all I had to sell was W/l term-ART then some graded w/L. Then as an answer to AL Williams the original primerica- buy term etc. we were showing 14%-selling min premium that was to last forever. Well within 5 years we had the 5 year rule. - with in 5 years what you illustrated was bs and the sales charges are up the collapse in the interest rates and more people by the time they needed it most they could not afford what they had and couldn’t afford or qualify for new coverage. This doesn’t happen with whole life. So you do what you want but I’m glad I’m not a client of yours. Now GUL is a different story. No response to your answer because-- you can figure it out.

@@Bryan-om3wqHave fun watching those IULs lapse in people's later years.
@Bryan-om3wq Жыл бұрын
@@multimeter2859 when you understand net risk, how the crediting allocations work and how the loans work, it’s actually quite difficult to lapse a policy. I know IUL inside and out, and a lot of the misinformation out there on IUL is pretty bad, both FOR IUL and Against. Would be more than happy to have a live debate with any naysayer, apparently I need 5000 subscribers to get Chris’s attention. But if you’d like to go live I’d be happy to oblige :)

@@multimeter2859 Well then you level the policy during those later years, specifically once you stop funding them.
