Yeah, this can be interesting. My was was going to be eligible before me. The plan was she'd probably work a bit past and we'd retire around the same time... Then her job got crazy (bad) and she retired early. Not a problem. I can just work a couple years past retirement and we'll be about in the same point financially. So we agreed we'd be good. Now, we are approaching my initial retirement age, and my wife no longer wants me to wait. And the way work is, I kind of agree with her... So we are again re-working the numbers... I really wish I would have planned for this when she decided to retire, rather than us assuming I'd just work a couple of years extra.
