4 years ago I retired at the age of 50. My wife retired a month ago at the age of 56. We planned scrupulously for retirement but had no plan on when to retire. After losing a couple of friends and family to illnesses and the fact that neither of our lucrative office jobs gave us any satisfaction, we knew it was time to quit working for someone else. Now we work for us taking care of our health. We dropped $10,000 in a sauna for our backyard and do that every other day on top of walking together daily. It is exactly excellent videos like this that confirm our decision and help us stay on track with our goals.

My wife retired 7 years ago and I retired 6 years ago, before I retired we decided no debt we still have no debt, we do not drive new vehicles our truck 25 years old and our car 18 years old we keep our vehicles in pristine shape, we cook at home we brew our own coffee at home, we grow vegetables to help supplement food bill we preserve excess vegetables, we walk 2 to 3 miles every other day, we started stacking precious metals in 2002 35% of our wealth is in precious metals, we both have hobbies to occupy ourselves, we drive to florida 3433 miles to help on the family farm we stay for 5 months out of the year

Learning to play an instrument and swimming. I live in a Adult community so we have 7 pools. I'm 67 and still work. I really enjoy my job and at this point I do not look at it as a rat race. I work from home and work at a computer. I am an IT engine and get about 6-8 weeks of vacation a year. I have been doing this for so long its second nature. It allows me to go on several cruises a year. In 2025, we will do the Eastern Side of US and do the fall color tour, also planning on doing the Mediterranean. I really do not have to budget and my needs are not high.

Thank God covid happened! Right when I was going to collect my pension if I wanted I decided to and move to Kentucky from Chiraq no regerts😂
