Okay for 70 bucks, wow. This whole time I was thinking it would be alright for like $14.99 but 70 no way

It’s crazy isn’t it. The concept is great but for the build quality, the price is so shocking.

Would it be better of buying a real retro from 80' or 90's 3d camera? those with 4 lenses :D

It’s an unusual camera and fun when it works! Such a shame about the build quality. Thanks very much, I really appreciate the support! :)

Interesting video, I've seen them on amazon while searching for film cameras 📷 It looks a bit chintzy and plasticky, great concept though, I read through some of the reviews and it was clear they easily break⚠️😲🤔 Annoys me that in 2024 they can put out a camera so badly made that it's even worse than a toy! Just for context, I have a 1960s Olympus Pen ee half frame camera that cost me just £15... It's metal, solidly built, made of quality components, has a decent glass lens and is still going. I've added your channel, always great to connect with other photography creators.👍

Thanks very much! It is indeed very plasticky and there’s a lot of inconsistencies across the cameras I’ve had so far. The peeling on this one really got me. It’s definitely on the border of being a toy camera at this point but an expensive toy! Other people have had issues with the flash not firing and the shutters not working so they’re definitely prone to problems. It’s a real shame for the price. I love that camera! What a great one to have in your kit. That’s very kind thank you so much, I really appreciate the support. Same here! ☺️

@@PhotoandMe That price though! 😲 If it was just £20 you could forgive it's low build quality but at £80 or more you'd expect better and it to last. I was tempted by the Kodak Ektar H35 half frame camera but this little Olympus Pen ee came up just at the right price locally so it was a no brainer...😊 I'm just glad I found it so cheap as demand seems to be driving the prices up now.

Crazy price indeed. It's not worth it at all. Yeah definitely £20-30 max for sure. Yeah that camera has caught my eye too and I've thought about it but it’s not pulling me enough to consider buying at this point. I have something very similar that's tiny but can't remember who made it off the top of my head. I'm going to have to find it now! :) It’s a great find and an absolute no brainer! :) It’s mad to think old film and digital cameras sold for a couple of £ in the charity shops and now they’re about £15 minimum for brands no one have heard of. It makes it hard for people to obtain film cameras without breaking the bank, but I’m just happy that classic photography has made such a great comeback in recent years. People seem to have a hunger for simplicity and fun over high-tech gadgets now.

Love the video, honestly if the price doesn't move you it's quite a fun camera to have for some cool Instagram stories, but the effect gets repetitive with time.

Thank you! I really Appreciate it. It is a fun camera indeed, it's great for a party or a just a casual night out. Yes I have to agree, if it's used to much it loses the feeling and feels repetitive. If it's used only on the odd-accasion it's a camera my friends look forward to seeing and using. :)

I’ve got the Nishika N8000. Although it uses plastic it is absolutely much more durable and reliable and has a stronger, bulkier build with a better film advance. It can be quite costly but if you manage to find one might be worth it! Shame this reto camera is low quality :/ Great video btw!!

I would love one of those but I've been unable to find one that's a reasonable price. I've seen some crazy prices here the UK. One day though! Glad you enjoyed it! :)

I just would have bought the nishika n8000. I found one for just 199€.

The RETO has the benefit of having a flash built-in and it's very compact in design, so they were a massive selling point to me for the usage I wanted the camera for. The price for one of these in the UK is more than what you will get overseas sadly.
