hi Carl i like your foot pedal design for casters .. I'm a pro wood worker for many years too .. but I have to tell ya , maybe 15 years ago a coworker had a long necklace like yours and it got caught up in a belt sander ... well the belt sander flew up to his face and knocked him out cold and yes it ground off some of his lips and nose .. luckily as he fell the belt sander came unplugged .. the lesson here is alway keep that kind of stuff tucked in your shirt .. i wouldnt want. to see any of your viewers to see this and think its a good idea ;)

Hi Carl, Fabulous idea and execution. As a professional auto technician I must tell you that the item around your neck is a tragedy waiting to happen my friend!! 3:38 3:42

Awesome idea. Just a small suggestion which could help as bench gets heavier. Mount those gate hinges points on the wall at a height that when you drop the bench off the wheels it drops right on those hinge pins instead of having to lift your bench on to them. 👍🏼

Very ingenious sir. I have watched your other videos of retractable castors and will be adopting the same idea to make my equipment movable. Thank you for sharing this Carl.

Among several solutions for retractable castors on KZbin, this one is my favourable. I'll implement it on my workbench. Thank you sir!

You rock, Sir! So efficient. No obstacles for your feet. Please, although it seems obvious, your approach to having the drafting plans clamped above your chop saw! At least that is what it looks lik but the resolution isn't sharp enough to really see what you did. Keep on doing this. Newbies need this kind of advice really badly. I don't know about you, but I grew up in a woodshop, No kids get that anymore. Peace and goodwill! 🖖

Mr. Holmgren s a genius. I have purchased some of his plans in the past. He does a lot more than retractable castors.

Every time I say "I'm just building this thing temporarily", it ends up being there for much longer than anticipated 😂🤣. I've watched a few of your retractable castors videos now and you seem to have all bases covered with your designs. Thanks for the inspiration.

The design is great! But the freehand dado cuts with no fence and leaning to look over it is just a nightmare! I'm sure you've been doing this a long time, but you're very lucky that didn't go south.

You sir, are a force of nature. I can see you are pursuing your one true love with the passion of a much younger man. I'm 72 now and just got into woodworking about a year ago. I have much to learn and today I did learn something. Thank you. I admire your devotion to your craft. Well done.

Round edges, bevel corners, if necessary attach a split hose to exterior edge, or rather than a rubber hose use a hollow foam noodle, typically used in pools for floatation.💡

carl, DANGER,,,TAKE NOTE, why have you got something dangling from your neck while useing a table saw,, if it got caught in the blade ,well it its NOT worth thinking about,, AND why are you freehanding wood into a tablesaw,,, BOTH are a BIG NO NO,, THINK SAFTY FIRST ALWAYS. not a good example,,very poor video
