Thanks for your videos on the retracting casters. I was able to make a set for my home made router table I built 30 + years ago. Planning on a set for my bandsaw also one of these days.

Enjoyed! Sweet & clean. Love the yankee ingenuity on eliminating the unnecessary locking mechanism from the casters on hand. Harbor freight sells 'em with/without locking mechanisms. Ladder hoist tip, good to keep in mind...

Carl thank you for your video on the shop smith. My wife’s grandfather gifted me his not long before he passed and recently I’ve decided to try my hand at making a living by starting a wood shop in my garage. My first project will be this base for the shop smith lathe. If you have any comments or suggestions I would be more than happy to listen as I admit that i haven’t worked with wood since I made a step stool in high school back in 1992.

I just found this, bookcase and love the idea, and want to purchase the plans. I wish I could get these plans. Any thoughts from folks on how to do this, and support this individual in some form?

As a person who's video game systems are now "vintage", I can only imagine what it must be like to have YOUR 10er be an antique :) I know you got it in the 70s but...

Hello Carl, thanks for this very clear demo. I would like to try this as I have quite a stack of broken blades. Can you reference the type of solder you are using, I find the world of solder and fluxes a bit bemusing as there are so many for welding, , bfrazing and soldering. Best wishes . Peter

hi Carl i like your foot pedal design for casters .. I'm a pro wood worker for many years too .. but I have to tell ya , maybe 15 years ago a coworker had a long necklace like yours and it got caught up in a belt sander ... well the belt sander flew up to his face and knocked him out cold and yes it ground off some of his lips and nose .. luckily as he fell the belt sander came unplugged .. the lesson here is alway keep that kind of stuff tucked in your shirt .. i wouldnt want. to see any of your viewers to see this and think its a good idea ;)
