Son this world is nothing but an illusion. It's okay to compare- I have fallen into these TRAPS ( that are from satan) because his aim is to destroy whatever is GOOD. To keep on putting thoughts into our minds so we get SO BUSY having feelings of sadness, regret, hating others and sometimes ourselves, our lives to DIVERT our attention- from being Greatful, thankful in everything we have right now. Feeling complete BLISS in the NOW. And so SELF TALK becomes relevent:: Right now remind yourself what you have RIGHT NOW. And Thank God/ universe That you still have Eyes to see, mouth to eat, fingers to type, tongue to taste. Legs to walk, skin, ears, hair, nails. You are not in hospital dying helpless/ being tortured in jail trapped. Do you even realise how BLESSED YOU ARE. Even if you didn't end up with your soul mate or the job you really wanted or brought the car/ house you wished for?. Comparing yourself and beating yourself down means that you ARE NOT GREATFULL for what you have. You are telling the Universe this. There are people I personally know who don't own their homes or drive a Ferrari but they are very thankful for everything they have. This is VERY important.

@@RajeshSaini-ed9sw the same I deleted one month ago, now after this video I want to make it long, live without insta addiction, you probably didn't notice but when you scroll stories of your friends or just feed, you unconsciously get depressed by comparing yourself with all fun that your friends do, you unconsciously feel less worth or motivated because insta really absorbs not only time, but energy, after watching stories you will think of them the whole day, you don't realize how your brain saves all of this stuff, after deleting there's like freedom from this virtual world, all negative thoughts, comparisons will be disappeared little by little, I noticed this after one month, the 2nd thing you really start looking at yourself, like innerself, reflecting on your life, looking around, there is family, there's a lot of to do, doesn't matter if it's useful things that give you knowledge or experience, but life out of social media is much more colorful and bright, first week was hard to deal, but then you'll get used to it. Omg same!!! I'm turning 19 in May and I've been deleting instagram on and off for over a year now and I feel exactly like you! The reason I had a hard time deleting Instagram completely is because I have fomo, but every time I re-download it I realized I didn't really miss anything...so now I've deleted Instagram completely and ready to focus on myself and my life instead of watching other people "live" their lives.

We only see one tiny aspect of their lives through posts. Human nature is to share the success and good times. We have no idea what life behind their phone is like. It may look good but in reality be a train wreck. We compare our behind the scenes footage to their highlight reel when in reality we don't know.

The moments of silence you mentioned, the ones we tend to fill by just scrolling through social media, are actually really important for our brains. I‘ve done a ton of research and read books about all of this to get myself away from my phone and I learned that our brains (which haven‘t changed much in about 50,000 yrs) weren‘t made to process the mass of information we pump into it. I‘ve been there and know many people who always have some kind of content up. Pausing netflix, my bf is on his phone within 20 sec. Going into the kitchen I hear him start a Podcast episode. I‘m nobody to walk up and say „ you should do x y z“ but it sometimes worries me cuz I know how bad this was for my brain. It caused anxiety that made me feel nauseous for many days. But yeah, having breakfast in silence, driving short ways in your car without music, walking in nature without headphones, sometimes literally just sitting and thinking… it‘s very healthy for our brains. Some artists and writers also claim that this silence is where the best ideas are born. We really need more of it but Insta which likes to bombard it‘s users with dozens of new things every minute doesn‘t help this :(

@Rapha Carpio I feel that the way you're using the internet right now (for engaging with clients) is much much better than someone who is scrolling all day and just be proud of yourself man! Even I am knowledgeable in tech and nerd stuff like you and your idea of having a presence on current youtube channel + a website is great, keep going!

Is not replying all the comments mean speeding to much time on social media though ? Thanks for he great video btw

I can relate and fully agree with your perspective💗 Respect your presence time (realistic world), replace the habit of consuming information/networks, etc. to reading more books or new science and things or anything, practice it repeatedly. By doing so, it'll change your life especially the way you see things in life and you' will value yourself better.

One of the reasons I deactivated my Instagram account is that there is so many bad news. And once there is a bad news, everyone repost it. Especially now, in times of coronavirus is not good for your mental health to be seeing numbers going high all the time, all day. You have to pick what you want to see and choose what you want vibrating in your life.

Also the fact you’re a creative helps me a lot as a comedian because people say “ you need IG, tik tok to grow your audience “ but I really believe community can be built with KZbin. Thank you so much for this video. You said everything that I’ve been feeling.

five months since i deleted my account and the people i least expected to reached out to me and asked me how i was. these friends keep in touch in the most random ways and let me tell you how heartwarming it is to receive an e-mail with no context at 2am and it's just full of spanish destiel memes

3:01 put me to tears because it's true. I've spent countless hours tending to online friends (good ones, mind you) while my grandfather sits alone at his house a mile away every day. I'm not entirely horrible. I spent the last year or so visiting regularly, I just got so burnt out. Nursing school was academia pandemia with a little ischemia. Ugh. Sending light to everyone recovering from something.

I haven’t had any social media accounts for 10 years. But I feel like now I’m a bit addicted to youtube though. Watching nonsense all the time 😄

I missed those days where we took pictures just for memories and we ate our foods without taking pictures of them to post on social media.
