Thank you for giving me back hope in my class choice. Question: I once heard BoM procs do damage based on your own spellpower value and not the recipient's, so you should put it on a class with many small damage instances (affli warlock, cat druid etc.). Can you give a definitive answer to that?

Hey! GBoMs damage is 30% of the damge done by the recipient (if it procs). It has nothing to do with spellpower. As for who it is best to put on, DoT classes will give you more chances to proc, big-hitting classes will give you more damage when it does proc - it pretty much evens out, so just bless your highest damage dealers. For me there are 2 things wrong - Artefact => you don't need to reset ! Go directly to Yellow. Of course your burst is less than with your heroic skill but you do more damage with 1 target. And you have time during the leveling to have the heroic skill without reset before 20th september. - Divine Hammer is the worst choise for me because it was every 12s and Holy power > damage of divine hammer... And with the legendary you need use a finisher every 4s max to have 25% Bonus damage on it.. I have about 250/300k dps on mythic dungeon boss without optimal stuff (845+).

OMG i tried to stack mastery till now because i was thinking "Mastery: Divine Judgement" requires more mastery for more dmg output. And i was about to quit my ret because of the terrible dmg. After i watched this video i'll give a chance to haste now and get rid of mastery. You may have saved my favorite char.

I've also been really impressed with the dmg output of ret. In every dungeon so far I've had 2 maybe 3 out dmg so far. 1-2 being enh sham which is understandable cause they are ridiculous and warrior 1 button WW

The 30% meme. Yes, around 30% is the ideal timing for judgement timer to not fall off. That logic is sound. HOWEVER, if you actually put the judgement buff into practice, you'll notice that at around 20-23% haste, you don't notice a significant downtime for holy power spenders (i.e. your judgement CD is close enough to being up and you still have time to build 5 holy power). People spreading the idea that you MUST FIRST stack 30% haste are flat out wrong. You will hinder yourself until you get gear that better compliments haste with the layers of crit + mastery + versatility damage numbers. Haste can only do so much.

that that was the 6.2 stat priority.... haste now gives full effective uptime on judgment window and our new mastery just doesn't scale very well. -Mudfaerie
