I started out not "getting" these, but then I looked at my shelf with X-Wings, Robots, Eagle from Space 1999 made out of LEGO and realized to each their own! :D I think I'd like an Atari 2600 one. The details are quite nice.

It's ripe for modding. I can see some Dottie 3D printable pi chassis on thingiverse area in its future. However I don't have time for modelling, but I'll hand build something!

The fun part in models is building them yourself but this is already made. This is just an ornament. Modding it to fit a Pi in and making it useful would be a nightmare

@@backofficeshow wireless, would be hard to get the scale right on a wired one but still be able to use it, look at the NES classic but like the idea of a wireless one the size of the one that came with this model not practical but so so got to have one in scale

I 'get' it, as in it's a small model for the shelf but really it seems pretty expensive and pointless when a real one is around the same price on ebay.

Then by all means get one stick it on the shelf but for me, and although it's a lot bigger, I'd just want a working one that was useful plugged in instead of sitting like an ornament. It's each to their own :-)

People should just buy what they want. Most of us already own these consoles and have enough cash to buy books ornaments or art. Each to their own for sure 👍

If that's to scale the screws must be massive on the original. I wonder what it cost to license the logo and design. A shame the box wasn't to scale either. Not sure why you mentioned ISBN. Thanks for sharing. The ports were disappointing. I am not sure how this appeals to anyone to be honest. I gives me the impression it was "designed" very half assed in an effort to cash in.
