Definitely enjoyed this battle, thanks for the upload. I'm a big fan of that wigglytuff deck as Wigglytuff, Magmar and Dodrio are some of my favorite pokemon of all time and I love seeing all of them in one deck. I been playing this deck in the pokemon tcg gameboy game quite a bit.

@@Charmaster04 I didn't actually play the card game much as a kid, I did a playthrough of the GB game when I got it and had fun but couldn't tell you what deck I played. Wigglytuff is a childhood favorite from the show. Magmar and Dodrio became favorites when I replayed the games as I got older. Dodrio was a favorite to throw on competitive teams in gen 4 and 5 and I just got really into the classic single stage evolutions after eviolite came out so Magmar rose up the rankings. Blaine's Magmar in the anime is also awesome.

Jason Klaczynski has a blog called "Retro Pokémon TCG: History, decks and strategies for formats from 1999 to 2016, written by 3-time World Champion Jason Klaczynski" (I just call it jklaczpokemon, the name in the url). You can find lists for the Base-Fossil format and many other formats on his website.

If you want to know where you can reliably find someone to play a game of retro Pokémon with, there's a website called TCGONE that's like a fan-made version of TCGONE with every format from Base Set through Chilling Reign (except for 2010, but we just got 2009, so the day will come). Some formats are more popular than others, but depending on the time of day, it shouldn't be too hard to find someone to play, say, Base-Fossil with.

Ofcours, and Wigglytuf cannot compete with Hitmoncan. Wiggly needs a Scyher in his deck. Clefable deck is one of the strongest and is bannend....

What do you mean clefable is "bannend"?

@holon_phantom I guess when we played Clefable when it came out and I used Clefable in my deck, everybody in the community hated that Pokemon. They sad that Pokemon is banned in Japan. Oké, I guess in that time. Maybe it wasn't true cause you can look it up on the Internet so easily these days.... in 1997 or so, it was a different story.... Slowking and Sneasel were banned pokemon in the TCG, that you can look up online!

Hey there ! Clefable is most definitely not banned in this format. Just so you know. You are right that Hitmonchan is a very good counter to Wigglytuff. But Do the Wave Wigglytuff decks come in many different variants with different support pokemon. It depends on what decks you expect to see used against you. I play Wiggly with Electabuzz for example. I likehaving a good matchup against raindance. Both of them are weak to Fighting so I also Run a playset of Scyther and 1 Farfetch’d to be able to flood my bench and have counters for my weaknesses. Magmar on the other hand is very good against opposing Scyther, Venucenter or to stall and set up the board for a big Do the wave. Sometimes Wigglytuff is played alongside promo Mewtwo in a phsycic build, sometimes with Muk to shut down decks that rely on abilities. It’s all preference and choices you make concerning the meta of your playgroup. Hope that clarifies a bit why you see different variations of the deck.

Clafable could at ease retreat for one enery card and his poison status was cleard, WTF didn't he do it??? Dodrio pokemon power is reducing 1 energy card to retreat???

Wow, I just realized this is your 200th video! You've been busy! I need to get back on that Prop 15/3 article for PTCGLEGENDS. It's been slow going, but I like what I've written so far. I'm probably 80% of the way done with the rough draft, and then I'll send it in to Alex Wilson to figure out how much I need to chop out of the longest bits before moving on to editing.

The article was my original idea for sharing the Prop 15/3, and then for some reason I decided I needed to try making a KZbin video to see if I knew enough. I got hung up on the videos when I wasn't sure which would best represent what I wanted to share about the format and after I spent several hours practicing for commentary for videos I later decided not to use, so I'll probably just focus on the article for now. I might upload a couple more videos some day, but at this point the article is enough for me to focus on.
