"It's you" is an iconic song for elfs. It's one of my ultimate favorites and the Yesung adlibs never disappoints...😍

That was Kangin, that you thought was Shindong. Kibum didn't actually have any lines in this. He got the ring back from the girl at the beginning. I'm pretty sure this was the last video all 13 of them were in. Yes, Heechul did the bridge and the awesome high note. The adlibs at the end were all Yesung. I absolutely love It's You. It's still one of Super Junior's best songs. If you're going to check it out on your own, have a look at some of the live Super Show performances to see how they change the line distribution to cope with the missing members.

This song made me a fan of Suju. In 2009 when friends finally convinced me to give kpop a chance, the Super Show 2 concert in Japan had just came out on TV there, so I got the link and it was the first thing I watched of them. The first song of the concert was A Man in Love, then U, then It' You. I was interested with the first song, I was hooked by the third, I was totally in the moment Yesung started his adlibs at the end of the song. Dated means it's " of its time" and I guess that can be true, but if that's the case it's sad. I love the instruments, the harmonies, how this song builds to the chorus every time, and of course the adlibs at the end. If songs don't have all that now, well, they're missing out. SHINee are Suju's babies, they came after them and Suju dotes on them. The group that came before them and are the same age and trained together is DBSK/TVXQ.

I guess I mixed things up there with SHINee and TVXQ, oopsie. Also yes, it is quite sad that some elements used here are not used anymore in most songs today. But that's also how music develops, it's pretty normal. There will always be people and artists who will go back and use such stylistic devices to make a "retro song" at times but even then it's hard to emulate the exact sound of specific dated songs. The technology is so advanced that you'd have to make something that sounds much better today make it sound "bad" in quality on purpose. Cool to know that you got into Suju and essentially Kpop with this song / around the time of this release. Crazy that that's 12 years ago now haha! Time flies.

@@cru3ltmo I agree that music has to change and develop and there are some cool sounds that have come out in recent years that had no way of existing back then or before that. There's a lot of music that I listen to for nostalgic reasons that I know is not that good or would make no sense if it came out now. And I certainly appreciate the better quality of everything we use to listen to music now, for sure. The particulars of this song in specific, though, it's something I'd have liked to listen more of back then (this came out the same year as Sorry Sorry... I can say with certainty that most if not all fans like this song over Sorry Sorry by a wide margin, but Sorry Sorry is the style most music was made of back then), and I'd appreciate to see it now as well, a bit of it at least :) I knew kpop before this experience, I just wasn't a big fan. Watching the live performance made me a fan!

This is actually an emotional heartbreak song, lyrics talk about how they cannot let go of a love because it will always be you, it's gonna be you no matter what. Yup, that was Heechul singing the bridge followed by Yesung's belted ad libs. And the big guy you saw at the beginning is Kangin, not Shindong. Most of their recent title songs now are cheerful and upbeat so yeah this differs as it is emotional-heavy song.

If anything this was like a dark version of what Suju KRY would sing, so I was actually pretty shocked by this as a title track from them. But then again, I have not yet listened to many older Super Junior songs so I'm not the best judge haha. Thanks for your take on the story as well! I get it somewhat better now

Thanks for reacting to this. This is still my #1 fave suju songs. It's the last video with 13 members.. Actually this song has 3 versions, the dance version, drama version and this version u're watching (mix of the dance & drama ver) Just for info, the live versions elf suggesting in your comments are not live versions from tv programs, so it's not tv stations channel. It's live from their concerts, usually they release dvd concerts after 1 concert series is done. Their concert series is called Super Show (SS), and the last series is Super Show 8. There is a fan channel that uploads the video, you can check it out, it's called teukie nickie. Usually reactors reacts to live from thag channel. And so far, I never saw reactors reacting from that channel gets a strike. But hey, this is just a suggestion.. You do what's good for you.. Or you can just check it out on ur own time, she has all the videos from SS1-SS8.

You should just watch their live performance of It's You ,either Super Show 7 or 5 .It's on youtube and sounds much better !^^ Thanks for the reaction.You probably already know this but Yesung is the one who's usually doing all the ad-libs and high notes etc. Sometimes they switch but usually it's Yesung cause his voice carries emotive impact.

The part just before the finale, the one sitting on a motorcycle was Heechul. you asked at that point.....sorry for the confusiom 😅

That's interesting that the song sounds positive to you, to me, it sounds like they're desperate, like the girl they love is leaving and they're trying to tell her that the only one they love, "it's you"? Either way, it probably sounds different from Super Junior because it's much more emotional than their usual title tracks, I think. I'd also heard that Yesung created the ad-libs on his own, I think with the help of a mentor or something
