Still go back to streets of rage 1 and 2 with my brother ever year or so. Great game. Also mega man x, sonic, Mario, Castlevania on GBA and DS. Some great classic games out there 🎮👾♥️

Excellent list, plenty for me to consider in the future. I have never played a castlevania or megaman game before, so it is good to get some starting point recommendation. Just finished playing Banjo Kazooie for the first time in 15 years and I was blown away how well it holds up. Every level is still etched into my brain, but I had an amazing time from start to end.

Castlevania is also amazing on the SNES. Megaman X or also AMAZING!!!! I wish I was there when you play it for the 1st time.

@@Jh9801 10 is really good. I just played 8 and loved it because you can use built in cheats to become overpowered and just enjoy the game if you want. 9 as well

Have you managed to get your kiddos into retro gaming? What? No Cobra Triangle for NES? Sega Head isn't going to like that you skipped the Master System... Stellar choice with MMX and Contra III by the way. DUDE! Yes! MGS and SOTN for PS1--okay, this might be a pretty solid list here. Honestly, I think FFX is a good representation for the franchise--I agree that it's one that could turn people onto the series as a whole. Your picks work really well with the focus moved away from nostalgia--well done Chris!

Thanks Tom!!! Inreally wanted to pick games that I felt like if I was being held hostage and had to choose 2 games for my freedom, what would I pick. FFX isn't a game I've even invested a lot of time into, but it holds up and represented the Era really well. Cobra triangle was a solid 3rd place on the NES.

Mario Bros/Duck Hunt cartridge and Tetris, Streets of Rage and Earthworm Jim, Chrono Trigger & Castlevania 4, Silent Hill & Parasite Eve, Jet Set Radio Future & Crazy Taxi 3. Persona 4 & Devil May Cry for the hack and slash. NFL Blitz 2002 and Skies of Arcadia Legends. Because the Persona games you can go back to pick up stuff you didn't get the first run through and seeing how these things are manifested being physical, emotional or psychological

Honestly, Casltevania 4 is my personal favorite in the entire series. But SOTN is widely considered the best. Both are incredibly fun experiences.

I'm sad PS1 and PS2 games are considered retro. I beat Metal Gear like a few rims a year. Feeling ancient here haha. But this is a good list, I think it'll be time to break out the PI and revisit some classics. I've never beat SMB 3

Love the video and content dude, who wouldn’t love retro games I was born in 93 I wasn’t Evan a 80s kid and I love everything about the 80s and obviously the 90s. And congratulations on the n64 game collection I’ve been following the series and can’t wait for the next update. Check out my insta @90threegames I started collecting n64 games I wanted a complete and got to ten and went back to mega drive/Genesis and Super Nintendo I’m focusing more on them for now lol to stressful.
