Interesting fact, I was the winner of the N64 in that particular issue of C+VG, I still have it now! I was on the dole at the time and couldn't afford anything, so I sat and made the Mario sculpture while watching the TV. I couldn't believe I'd won! It was amazing! My mate called me from town to tell me when he saw the mag. He just messaged me last night to tell me about this video too. ;oD

Great pickup. I love the first SNES Pocky and Rocky (I have the Japanese version) but haven't spent much time with the sequel. I haven't mentioned this before but I remembered that Super Chase H.Q is another AUS exclusive PAL game. It's a very expensive game I've been keeping an eye out for it for you and if I ever snatch it up for a bargain price I'll make a deal with you to help you complete your set.

Whats interesting is the 2nd most expensive game in my GBA inventory I have for sale is Pocky & Rocky with Becky. Never had a release in Europe and even in North America it's pricy. I'll have it up on my table at the next coming London Gaming Market on the 10th November.

Growing up I didn't experience much of the SNES, having maybe 2 handful of games but the ones I have most memories of is Striker and Joe And Mac Caveman Ninja. Joe And Mac was tough for little me and my older brother and I hope one day I can go back to it and try beating it 😅

Yo Callum, nice pick up. I used to play kiki kaikai in the late 1980s in my local arcade. It didnt translate very well to consoles, but the second one was much better with a second player. Hope to see you at the NEC toy fair in a couple of weeks if your reaching it..

Mate. I recently found a bunch of CVG'S at my parents attic, 2 of the editions you had in your hands the Blanka and Final Fight one, were 2 I've got. Mean Machines was my very favourite, only 24 editions of the original mean machines before they split into Sega and Nintendo mags. As a Nintendo fan boy I was gutted Sega had the more traditional MM look. Good times. I've got about 3 Mean Machines to collect to complete the series 😃 🤙 And yeah man I remember Pocky and Rocky, has a Mystical Ninja look to it. Great stuff. Favourite SNES game. Got to be Zelda, boring but it's just the best. The most nostalgic for me though is probably Super Castlevania. That brings me the most joy when I think back. I remember buying it from Virgin Megastore and couldn't wait to get it home. So good

Pocky & Rocky alongside The Legend of the Mystical Ninja are 2 of my all time favourite SNES games. Never did play Pocky & Rocky 2 though. I think I always assumed it didn't get a PAL release .

i think my favorite snes game of all time is Harvest Moon. Easily spent hundreds of hours playing that game. I'm lucky to have that one CIB as its fairly pricey these days.

Pocky and rocky 2 snes is different from reshrined in some ways. Same for the 1st game. Natsume games are mostly expensive. I think axelay is my favorite snes game. Super Mario kart 2nd. Doremi fantasy 3rd sfc only, dkc 4th.

Greatest Snes game of all time is problaby SMW, Lttp or Super Metroid. But a game that I find myself playing the most is Super Castlevania IV. The atmosphere, soundtrack and the feel of controlling Simon Belmont is just so good

I remember playing Pocky and Rocky 2 back in the day. Some of my mates mates knews this lad was two years older than us. We were in year 7 at the time. He had a universal adaptor for the Snes and his mum had been over to the states and bought RP2, chrono trigger, secret of mana and others back Somes times id have games he wanted and vice versa and we'd trade for like a week. I give him a game from my collection and hed give me the univsersal adapter and like an ntsc chrono or secret of mana or pop and twinbee 2, etc.
