I had cards in 2004 and lost everything when I moved out of my home. Bought a starter deck in 2014 with the first pendulum monsters and a few booster packs but didn't understand anything about the new mechanics so they just sat in a drawer until last year when they announced the 25th anniversary legendary collection. Now I have literally tins upon tins of cards, 24 decks and a binder for all my high rarities! Shit is addictive! 😂

You do, just not at high level play when the banlist isn't doing its job.
@bleack87013 ай бұрын
So this is basically a duelist kingdom pack. That said, this power level is pretty close to the power level of the game I enjoyed the most. Face down defense actually matters, you play up to about 5 cards per turn and the back and forth is pretty simple. Moments like monster reborn being sent from deck to grave being super impactful just made the game so much better Amazoness Chain Master is one of my favorite cards. Used to run it in almost every deck I had back in the day
@apostleianlovelette2 ай бұрын
Back when overcommitting to a turn cost you big time. Resources had to be conserved in order to survive the hard negates and Blue-Eyes White Dragon required actual skill to summon at just the right time so it wouldn't die to a Trap Hole.

Kuriboh is supposed to be creepy, I thought he was a cute little guy especially in early art
@scragar3 ай бұрын
In the oldest artwork it's all black except for the hands, feet, and eyes(which are furrowed like it's frowning or staring). It also has clearly distinct claws but in a position where you can't tell if it's walking on all fours or just hunched over. I wouldn't say it's creepy, but it's definitely a lot creepier than the current version where it's brown fur, got rid of the frown, and made the claws shorter/less distinct.

1. Great idea for a series and great way to utilize the product to make BOTH an opening video AND a duel video. 2. I love that I already know what all of the cards you're opening do. 3. I wrote out a long response on the POD but closed the window before I posted it... I was essentially saying that people have been debating graphics vs gameplay since at least the 80's. The fact that the Pac-Man graphics sucked on the 2600 is one of the reasons for the video game crash of '83. Just because you didn't care about graphics or didn't hear your peers doing it either, when you were kids, doesn't mean the people in their 20's at the time weren't. I'm not blaming you for not knowing what gamers were saying or thinking back then, I didn't either, but I've talked to people and heard stories about them and if I didn't I'd probably think the same thing you did.
