Retro Reads Ep4: Nintendo Fun Club News #7

I enjoy revisiting old gaming magazines, so I enjoy these Retro Reads too! I'd really like to get some more Nintendo Fun Club issues--we have...2? Maybe 3? Agreed--Nintendo Power (and before) really put their all into everything, art included (and the screenshots painstakingly taken and put together!). Those old school books, and especially the back issues are such a tease. The sneak peak section is great; I really enjoy those parts in old magazines. The ad for NP is fantastic with the rendition of the cover not being finished yet. That "Mega" logo looks like the same logo on the Bandai Mega controller--wonder if that's that they were referencing? Mr. X? Hmmm..the only one I know of is in Streets of Rage, so that's not right... I wonder what that "Free" Sunsoft poster was; that'd be cool to find. This was a lot of fun--thank you for sharing!!

Sunsoft had a free newsletter. I have all my issues still. Got my name in one of them for the Festers Quest contest. Got second prize which was a Festers Quest T-shirt.

Wow, that’s awesome. I never knew anybody that had actually gotten inside the book. It was so hard to take a picture of your screen back then they even put instructions how to do it and some of the Nintendo powers. Thanks for watching my video, my friend. I hope it brought back some great memories for you.

The only two issues. I have never owned for Fun Club News was 1 and 2. I almost bought them years ago. Regret. TC Surf was a og classic. Awesome video! Classic Magazine. I enjoy RoboCop as well. X laughs at you but everybody was Kung Fu fighting back then
