Chris has always put forth a special effort to say PCB Way in his own unique way - and the effect has been that to many of us: it has become industry standard. It seems that he really does appreciate PCB Way. He has made it the go-to place for MANY boards I've needed, many commodore 64 mod related projects are all done-up and waiting for me to pick = no work for me! Excellent partnership, PCB Way and Chris!

Well that episode was definitely worth Five Dotters... Excellent to see PCB Way visit your lab... I think Elaine almost gave out the secret what PCB stands for... we may never know... What a culture shock it must have been for them, not just the popular culture references, but the generational one as well... I'll bet most ppl today don't know half of that stuff you've got... Oh!!! I know!!! Maybe PCB stands for "Perifractic's Collectable Belongings"... doesn't it?

That was a great studio tour. It felt like I was there as you explored the room. Although I was briefly shocked by the miraculous appearance of Ladyfractic out of nowhere before realising that she had been the one operating the camera. The augmented reality labels were a lovely touch and made it feel like an augmented reality video game. This whole show was truly entertaining and informative. A great job by Perifractic, Ladyfractic, Junifractic and your Personable Chinese Buddies that are keepers of the Waaaaay!

04:35 - We used the BBC computer in school in Luxemburg. It was in 1988, but the school had them already for several years, they were connected to an 5 1/4 inch Floppy drive, but also an 8 inch floppy drive ! But the 8 inch was not used anymore, so I never had an 8 inch floppy disk in my hands back then. We programmed in Logo (the famous turtle cursor).

I was hoping some of the questions related to things like "whats considered a popular retro thing in China" or what they themselves are nostalgic about, what is a favorite thing from their childhood, etc.

3:48 We heard it, but we didn't understand it. I can barely understand some New Yorkers and southerners, and I was born in the US! Odds of me getting through a Chinese accent is about 50/50. Going to turn on CC to see if that helps. Update! It worked! Awesome!!!

A non-traditionalist here. I'm glad I've broken away from all of them. It makes life a lot more fun when you don't just go along with stuff. I knew she / they weren't going to know the Pop Culture references, but it was fun watching the interactions, and Peri's attempt to explain Ghostbusters (haaa, haaa, haaa!), among others was pretty funny. That typed, I love seeing the mini Max Headroom poster. Do you know about the Max Headroom reboot (2.zero) that's being planned?
@RetroRecipes
@RetroRecipes 10 ай бұрын
I did not know about the reboot. I've had a look and it's produced by Elijah Wood which is fun because he was in that BTTF Cafe 80s scene, along with Max headroom style Michael Jackson etc. I can't see any info about the series on IMDb yet so I hope it's still in production. Last info was from over a year ago 😬

@@RetroRecipes I adored that Max Headroom/Michael Jackson part. Correct about Elijah Wood. I hope Max Headroom is done a LOT better than the Pixels movie rendition. Though it was funny. I Ap-p-p-reci-Apprc-c-cia...thanks for the re-reply.

I love the awkwardness of them not understanding a lot of what you are saying and not knowing what most of the stuff you have is, but still being polite and "going along" and "feigning" some understanding.
