None of my friends had anything of this size. The Particle Ionizer 6923 was very popular amongst my friends and was the biggest space set I saw in my childhood.

This was one of my first sets. Possibly my very first one. I got it at Christmas time from my aunt and uncle.I was really into Lego when I was a kid and I always lego sets at Christmas time. I had a big grey castle,a couple medium and small size sets of the forest men,A large ship with a navy crew,pirates hideout set and small boats,a shell themed raceway,an airport,and a police station.

Love these retro reviews! I have so much nostalgia for these old sets even though I didn't own many, I just remember drooling over the catalogs. I was able to get many of the 9v elements over the years including the black electric plate and even a yellow one. I use tons of 9v lighting on my MOCs even if it is entirely impractical these days with LED technology. As always thanks for taking the time to share these videos and your alt builds!

Interesting I have the lighting set from lego city from like 1988 road Maintenance, and the single bulb has a blinking option when rotated.

One thing that always amazed me was that Space Police 1 ships didn't have any propulsion system... The main ship could maybe use the ones of the escape pods, but on this one, nothing except the underside of the prison cell...

True, whereas M:Tron Beacon Tracer has 4 jet nozzles and it is just a small car.

@@grohl666 Btw, in the space police 1 line, I love the main ship and the smallest one (6886), you can realise some awesome B-model with these 2 while with the mega core magnetizer of the M tron, a B model is a serious challenge with the available pieces....

Moc pěkné video. Hned mě to donutilo vytáhnout nějaké poklady a otestovat, jestli všechny systémy fungují. Žralok byl jasnou volbou mezi alternativními sety, tak ho asi budu muset postavit (Pro jistotu si počkám na instrukce:-).

Got a complete one with box and manual. My 2nd best spaceship of that time, bested only by my 6923 Particle Ionizer. This one is a huge dust magnet ;) Many horizontal surfaces in dark tones makes it very visible. The color scheme looks much better than Space police 2. Front guns tend to fall off when swooshing though ;)

Particle Ionizer is very sleek and has a unique silhouette. Its review and Alternate Model, that you can see at the end of the video, are coming. You are correct about the SP1 colour scheme. SP2 cotains some great sets but they do not stand out as much and they look like old German police cars. Never had issues with bits falling of mine. At least not yet :)

Depends what you call rare. There are plenty around if you are willing to play adequate price.
