wow, thank you man! I just got my hands in the old family projector and a loot of films from the 70s. Feeling lucky that we have the same model so you are saving me a lot of time for research, ahahahah. I asume my best shot is project everything at 24fps and record at 24/48 and then slow down. Any tips for the surface where to project it?

I honestly don't know - I bought it on Ebay and it's a very faded reel of some old Serbian film.

It's called a gate. But not all projectors can be converted like that and when they can, the different gates usually come in the box with them.

Nooo! When you change the gates, you have to turn the knob at the back of the projector so that the red dot is in the 12 o' clock position. Here the claw, which pulls the film down, is withdrawn and out of the way, otherwise you run the risk of breaking the claw off and ruining the projector.

exactly what i tought!!! i have a mark 824 wich a customer brought in, his filmtransport didnt work anymore. well yes. he changed teh gate and didnt put the red dot op top and so the claw was gone. nothing i could do for him. shame of the projector
