Retro Trip 16', Desolation Wilderness, California and Yosemite NP.

Another COAR/Arc Hunter retro trip. This time we went to California. This wasn't my first trip there, but it was for Arc Hunter. This trip we were going to hit a high mountain route in the Desolation Wilderness. The problem was, due to a high snowfall winter there was still snow at elevation. Our plans were to camp at a high lake. However, we lost trail sign in the snow and had to make camp at the snow line.
Our trip to Yosemite was much the same. I had planned a route that was in reality completely snowed in and we would need snow shoes to get over a few passes. Oh, did I mention the flooding in Toulumne meadows? So we changed our plans to a lower elevation trek to a super busy camp at Little Yosemite Camp. A quick trip to Half dome and back. An epic landscape in 4 days.
