As someone who was watching wrestling during this time (but no longer), I kinda feel embarrassed nowadays to admit that Santino didn't really click with me back then. Looking back now, the man was clearly a genius. No matter how dumb the material, he could always elevate it to something special. Not to mention that he was actually really underrated in the ring. Just how Simon says with Sheamus, I think Santino will be considered a top tier talent that WWE will definitely miss.

Some copies of Royal Rumble 2008 don't actually show all the horrific things Jericho did to JBL after the match. It just cuts off when he hits him with the chair and then goes to the backstage segment with Ashley and Santino Marella. That's how it was on my DVD copy anyway.
