RetroArch Game Hack Tutorial

Here's a demonstration on how to use the Retroarch cheat code development system. It's exactly how I used to use the GameShark Sharklink system in my teens years, except I don't have to connect a laptop via USB.
In this demonstration I'm going to show you how you can use it to hack your video games. In this quick demonstration I'll be searching for an 8-bit value that does a specific role in the game development. The system can find values stored up to 64bit.
So first you must start out with the value you want to control (in this case it's ammo). What I need to do is equip the item then begin a code search. I then fire the weapon once and then return to the cheat screen and search for 1 less value change. Notice I start out with a few thousand, but over the course of firing one time then searching for the 1 less value change.
I do this until it's empty. I then will reload the pistol and search for a greater than value.
I then fire 1 time and search for a less than value change. After doing this a couple times I've narrowed it down to 2 binary numbers. One of those is going to be the binary/hex we want to control. From here I'll try each binary code until I get the effect I wanted which was no ammo being used even though I was firing. We can see this is binary/hex code used at the end : 001452C8
No I can go one step further and go into the cheat code and edit the number stored for its memory giving the revolver 48 bullets.
You just have to learn to pay attention to what changes you're doing in the game and how to search for them by greater than or less than searches
