WHEN you install update files you can select a bunch in the file box and it will run the updates all in a row. This is very useful if you have lots of update/dlc files to run.

thanks so much for your great videos, I have a question please: Games that have DLC, each DLC or update appears in the Retrobat list game as a another instance of the game, for example if I have a game with 10 DLC they all appear in the list. Is there a way to hide this files or how would be the correct placement of files? thanks so much

Love your videos. Any chance you can do a video on how to setup cloud saving? I'm using retrobat on my Rog Ally and would love to continue playing some of the ps3/switch games on my main pc rig and i cant figure out how to setup cloudsaves while continuing to launch games through retrobat. Any tips?

Great see you doing switch Jamie, It may not be retro but when you put it up against PlayStation and Xbox It's capability and graphics certainly look retro, Maybe that's why Nintendo first party games are so Is much fun

I agree. Totally and like I said to somebody else. It is a part of Retrobat and since it is included I had to cover it at some point as well as having so many people requesting it in the past.

Hi, Great videos. Very helpful. Can you answer this issue i have? I had Mario Kart 8 Deluxe up and running in retrobat. I then installed an update for the game. However, the update only seems to work in the stand alone yuzu emulator and not when going through retrobat. It still says its the old version. Any idea why that is?

Hey Jamie! Thanks for all of your videos, they've helped me immensely while setting up Retrobat over the last couple weeks!!! I had one question that I can't seem to find. How do you disable retrobat from auto configuring controllers by default? It seems with Wii and Switch games (so far), that anytime you launch a game for the first time it will try to auto configure controllers, which effectively erases the controller settings set for those emulators. It's becoming a real pain having to redo the controller settings for 3 people anytime I forget to turn off "autoconfigure controllers" in the advanced game options lol. Thanks a ton for all the help!!

Yuzu emulator. Controls. Change drivers. That should sort it. SDL/Xinput.

Help! I've had Yuzu on my Retrobat working perfectly for 5 days then all off a sudden Yuzu within Retrobat and outside on the standalone app NOW promptly quits! I've tried to uninstall and remove all remanence of Yuzu and reinstall it back an still does the same thing after following your tutorial. I've looked online for a solution but could not find a definitive way to get Yuzu working again on my PC. Is there something I'm missing? Also wanted to say thank you for your very helpful Retrobat videos for this great piece of retro emulation and you've helped me during this process of getting all my favorite systems up and running. As a matter of fact Windows 11 had me do a 10 min update, it's a fairly new Mini PC using an AMD Ryzen 7 GPU so there were many updates happening, that might be the issue?@@JustJamie1983

Struggling to get my Rog Ally's controller to work in Yuzu in RB :/ I can sort the controller settings in the YuZu.exe and save the configuration but when you launch YUZU from RB 's menu the control configuration is gone? How the heck do you kill RB's menu music!!

I am sorry but I don't use a Rog Ally. Disable music by sound settings disable frontend music.

What if you already have Yuzu installed and running on Windows? Can I just move it all?

You could try. Remember. You have Yuzu files in your App data folder too. Could get messy.

if he gives u links or direct info to get these files the video gets flagged and removed and he can lose the account. you can legally dump them from your own switch using yuzus walkthrough guide..or you can google for some help maybe... id start with what the name of what ur looking for is

Antique and Vintage have some rules associated with age. I don't believe "Retro" does. As a rule retro doesn't even mean old. It means something that is attempting to seem old. "Retro" gaming would be modern games made in a vintage style. Where as actually old games are vintage. Most people use the terms interchangeably but they really aren't.

@@JustJamie1983 I mean it's literally the definition of the word. Look at Websters Dictionary. If people disagree with what the word means I can't help them. You can choose to be ignorant or you can choose to educate yourself. Antique and Classic are defined terms because of insurance. And Vintage means something that is actually old.

Hi Jamie. I saw one of your more recent interactions with someone who was requesting this. I kind of wish you would have stuck to your guns on this to be honest. This is not retro gaming. This is Nintendo's CURRENT video game console. If you want to play switch games then buy a switch. Just my opinion.

I agree. But far too many people have requested this. On a retro side. Switch is known to have a very good library of Retro inspired games. Like I have said in the video. Their is a good reason for techies to enjoy this over a real Switch..the ability to upscale resolution.

@billy5688 it's all play but thanks. I personally have no interest in piracy, and play what I own. I make these videos as I enjoy computers as well technical things and all things old. Pirates will be pirates but I make these videos with the best intentions and of course emulators like this one provides high resolutions which hardware cannot support. It also gives us the ability to use a range of controllers and many other features which gives us some custom control over our games.
