The switch inside RF case is used to switch between UK or German TV sets. They also use PAL sets in Germany but the sound was on a slightly different frequency, so you flicked the switch for sound output on German TV sets and back again for UK TV sets. I used to have motorbikes when i was younger and would always polish off the rust on the exhaust with chrome cleaning paste. It took awhile but always brought the chrome or metal to a mirror finish.

Oh. Great thanks for the info! I know there's a few different types of PAL. I'd better double check the sound, to make sure it's set for the UK. I may have nudged it while being bored. Lol Yeah, I could have maybe sat and done the chrome a bit better, but it's hidden away anyways. 🤣
