Do you know what to do if you have a manual? Don’t see how this could be installed with gear stick mechanisms all in the way etc
@notthatkindofachannel Жыл бұрын
Hey, I don't think it makes a difference whether you have an automatic or a manual gearbox, as the head unit remains the same. Therefore everything should work as usual. Many greetings, Peter

@@notthatkindofachannel thanks Peter! When i went to install the module, there was no space for it, as where yours is inserted i have all the manual gearbox mechanism :/

Hi, maybe a video about updating factory navigation or just a maps. On my Evoque the maps are old and some new roads and squares are missing. Greate video's... keep going

Hello there! The video is very clear with all the instructions except for the dip switches on the back on the aftermarket carplay module. Do I need to switch on any of them ?? I’m fitting this for 2014 Evoque which don’t comes with navigation option in OEM system

Hi and thank you very much! I have to say, I don't know if this works with the system without navigation, as this menu item is necessary to start the Apple CarPlay or Android Auto system. The switches on the back were all off or at 0 in my case. all the best, Peter

servus Peter, thank you for the video, very useful. Please, could you confirm if the module (after replacement?) finally worked on your evoque?

Hi Peter, any update about this one? I've recently bought a RR Evoque 2016 with Bosch Car Radio and I'm looking to add Apple CarPlay. I've had an Isudar Stereo on my previous can and it worked very well (except for the bad quality of the integrated microphone). In this case it's only a Smartbox so the original system should remain the same. But I'm a bit worried about the reboot. And one more question, the blue pin cable that you disconnected from the monitor and didn't connect again, what is it? With this smartbox I will lose the original navigation software?

Indeed, the issue was resolved after acquiring a new module and a fresh connection cable from the supplier. However, be aware that upon installation, your original navigation functionality will be forfeited (referring to the blue cable you mentioned). Nonetheless, this wasn't a significant setback for me personally, as I primarily rely on Google or Apple Maps for navigation purposes.

Hey, I have a Evoque 2012 where I dont have the navigation function, is it still possible to install that one?
@notthatkindofachannel8 ай бұрын
Hey, if you have installed the navigation system, then this should be possible without any problems. If no sat nav is installed, this will not work with this system. All the best, Peter

Hello Peter, may I know what is your original car system? Is that Harmon or bosch?
@notthatkindofachannel9 ай бұрын
Hey, it's the Bosch system! Best, Peter

Hi I’m from Verona (Italy) Have you solve the problem? Thanks
@notthatkindofachannel Жыл бұрын
Hey, no I’m sorry! There was no easy solution on the Evoque. The strange thing was, that this module worked fine in the Discovery 4 but not in the Evoque. Best, Peter
