Hello sampler friends㊗️ I recently purchased an emulator for my akai s900 with the exact gotek in the video. I installed everything correctly and when turning on the machine, everything booted and turned on correctly, the moment I press disk, the sampler mentions that, "There is no disk mounted". Before turning on the sampler with the floppy emulator, I made sure to have everything connected correctly and to turn on everything with the usb(that came with the floppy emulator)installed. What could be the issue? I'll be checking back to this daily for any updates or comments, thank you guys!

Please go to my website and follow the links for GoTek and then host devices - find your device in the list and follow the setup steps. The GoTek supports many devices, and requires different configuration to work with each one.

Your question intrigued me. It sure sounded like the real thing to me. Moreover searching for space quest in KZbin results mostly in playthroughs on other platforms, and it's quite clear the Amiga sounds better than all the others because it's able to play more than one tone at a time.

What are the advantages of changing the firmware? I'm going to try to fit an sd and cf slot to the front panel as separate drives for an optimized port bay. Thanks

Among all the added features, Flashfloppy supports way more devices, so for many there is no choice. And speaking of no choice, the they are now being shipped from the factory with flashfloppy already Installed - or at least the ones I sell are (link in the description).

Just a heads up I bought several of these from eBay sellers. Do not upgrade to the beta 4.0+ Flash Floppy firmware at least for IBM Pc use. I had all sort of disk detection and corruption issues that drove me mad. Once I went back down the 3.28 all the issues disappeared. Just seems to be an issue with this revision as 4.0+ works fine with all my other revisions.

That version is on beta at this time. Those sellers shouldn't be installing it. I sell them with 3.28+ on ebay. Check the description for my store.

Hi, Great video but will the gotek emulate 360K Single and double sided floppy from the od 5.25 floppy drive units? Or o I need an cable adapter for those drive controllers? Thanks

I would follow the procedure for transitioning from a 5.25 to a 3.5 to make the gotek work. Different controller, or a different port on your controller. I really don't know much about it. I've never tried to do that.

Sorry to ask you but where did you find information about this new Gotek design with the factory mods? I searched all the internet and did not find anything about that even I checked the official Gotek website and nothing about that?

@@retrofriends Thank's a lot, I already bouhgt one of these. Actually I have got 2 Gotek devices one with the old chip and one with the new one and I am really happy about them. Think they are amazing. Anyway I am trying to find how to emulate 2.88mb ED with my Gotek on v3.29. If you have any information about that could you make a video how to do that or share a link. This will be very helpful. To be honest I find you channel couple weeks ago and I think it is very helpful.

@@arodvi Sorry, but I have no idea what "2.88MB ED" is. I suggest you join the flashfloppy facebook group. First search for your issue, then if not found, post the question.

How well do these fit in a 4000d case?

I do not know, sorry. The outside case is the same dimensions as all the previous Goteks, which is made to be very similar to slim PC floppy drives.
