It is very well done, though I'm waiting for an 8GB version of the OPI B with DDR5 ram on this same chipset. Plus it will be a lot cleaner than this setup is as well, but that drive is a for sure a selling point of this whole unit.

I’d suggest ordering another GameSir controller online, I’d just make sure it comes with a Dongle (No Bluetooth) it needs that dongle just like the one you got with your X5 Pro Or you could try any other controller that uses USB🤷‍♂️ I’ve seen people use a Xbox360 or PS4 with these things

Real talk. My very first "retro console" was the Kinhank Super Console X. It looked like a little SNES puck, maxed out at N64 and PSP, and was a pretty neat piece of hardware for the price. I can't wait to get mine. It's a little expensive for me compared to the first super console x I got for $37. I use the x3 version now and it's the greatest gaming machine I've ever had. These things are great. People think it's a scam or rip-off but no, they definitely are the real deal. If you can figure out how to navigate the settings it's a game in itself trying different things finding ways to improve the games. The thing with these is the SD card. The one it comes with is very cheap and what I call disposable. That's why they don't give you a enclosure for that hdd because if it's like the SD cards they come with it won't last long. I'm definitely going to copy mine immediately and onto a good quality hdd or maybe a ssd if I can afford one someday. I didn't know about SD cards when I got my first scx because I don't use a computer so I thought I got ripped off. Once I knew about copying the SD card I haven't had any problems. I'm tickled with my x3 and I'm excited to get my x5 pro. Great video and thanks for sharing yours. I saw what I needed to see 👍

The main reason I got this was for the GameCube game Eternal Darkness. That game just by itself is a few hundred bucks, plus a working Gamecube and wireless controller, AND HDMI adapter would cost more then this system. I had to do a bit of tinkering with the settings while the game was playing using the remote. But it work's amazing. You should do a video just on making that game run well on this system. Just bec3of the cost and the amount of fans of that game. Its not an easy one to find.❤

@@christianclanton9992 It works well. Some games you have to go into the settings a bit. Eternal Darkness had some slowdown with enemies on the screen. However when I bumped the resolution down to 1080 p it runs great. They have shading etc added to alit of games. Looks good. I think it was worth it. Just a bit of set up, and I just watched a few videos to figure it out. I'm not too technically bright and I was able to figure it out.

I have always wanted to play Eternal Darkness! This is the first GameCube game I tried to play yesterday when I got my device. However I still cannot get it or other GameCube games to play. I configured the controller for GameCube using the instruction Manual. Then found a video from Kinhank about how to set the path for GameCube games. I tried that but to no avail sadly. This is my second day with this system and I love the other games I’ve tried but I desperately want to play the GameCube library!

Cheers Zu. As a (nearly) plug and play solution that's pretty sweet. The price on the Aliexpress Kinhank store ain't too shabby either. An older mini-ish PC with Batocera would be a lot cheaper but that kinda depends on how much you value your time and possibly your sanity setting it all up. As for play testing I'd try Black on PS2 with an upscale , oh and try and do some license tests on Gran Turismo 4.

Vulkan is a graphics API you can select in the settings. It will make some games run better, but it's not the magic bullet that it is in other emulators like AetherSX or PPSSPP.

How are you opening up? Display settings for the individual consoles. I'm not saying that menu or I'm not hitting the right button. Whenever I play ninja turtles the arcade game, it looks very 8 bit like it's something I did on M. S paint even on the original system. It still looked like a video game. You know what I mean, not like? I couldn't make out each individual 8 bit. Or maybe it's the upscaled graphics. And that's the way it's supposed to look. I don't know, it just feels weird.

Brilliant console for retro games and the android box is great for TV streaming. One thing. The Bluetooth chip is very poor. I've tried all sorts of BT headphones on there and it's very choppy. Not a game changer but just a heads up.

It just needs a few seconds. It'll save it locally and it'll load faster and smoother on subsequent playthroughs.

If you're using the retroarch core, go into the retroarch menu, go to settings > video > scaling > aspect ratio > and set it to 4:3. If you're using a standalone android app, back on the remote should take you into the menu > settings > graphics > aspect ratio.

It's Android, so you can plug in storage and use the android file system to copy stuff around. You can also plug the HDD directly into your computer with a SATA cord, but don't delete anything. It could make the pegasus front-end act up.

@@retrohandhelds according to kinhawk powersupply is corrected depending on region going to. Update got mine today didn't come with a power adapator that was correct. Sigh. Update 2 : correction i was disabled so couldn't put the adaptar plug together correctly.

I got this device yesterday. I still have not been able to play any GameCube games. When I click on the game icon like in the other systems, it just kicks me back to the GameCube selection menu. I had to configure the control for PS2 and I also followed the instruction manual to configure it for GameCube. Still nothing when I try to play. I found a KZbin video by Kinhank explaining how to “set path to GameCube and Wii games” and followed those instructions yet still no success. Can anyone who is able to play GameCube games please tell me how to get them to play? I largely got this for the GameCube selection. Overall I’ve loved playing some nostalgic PS1, Ps2, SNeS, NES, Genesis, Dreamcast, Saturn, PSP and 3DS games. Most of the games work without issue but a few are either mislabeled or have error messages (several of the PS2 games show the title but then say “game data not available“ under it) The setup was not difficult but I need to learn more about how to get the GameCube games playing. I will try to play a Wii game today. All the other systems I have tried have worked and save well and play just fine. Maybe one had slow load times and slower frame rate.

Yep, but you might need to delete older stuff. If you can pick a handful of GC or PS2 games you're not interested in, you'll free up enough space for entire libraries of older systems.

Was there any Xbox Xbox 360 or PS3? I am done buying anything until they come up with a plug n play or external hard drive that has everything equal to PS2 up to PS3 with almost complete library. I have the kinhank 16T hyper spin external hard drive and for example PS2 has 658 games BUT less than 20 RPGs that's bull crap! And they aren't even the well known best ones. If it had at least 10 percent RPGs ratio I would have been pleased. Which would have been 65 RPGs for PS2 in this collection.

I hated it. This isn't a plug and play, this is a Plug, Tinker and Play. Here were my issues: Controls are not mapped for Game Cube, or PS2. You have to set that up and the GameCube didn't work with controller. Microphone DOES NOT WORK and you can't configure it, I wanted the PS2 karaoke games, so that was a waste. It is worth $100, for people like me who don't wanna tinker. If you love tinkering and don't want karaoke- Get this and fall in love. Oh- Arcade games woudn't work, and I got so sick of tinkering I sent it back. Works fine up to PS1

This unit crushes that box of overpriced French mediocrity you reviewed recently like how Ohio State crushes Indiana in football. What's the difference in price between them, like $50? A person would have to be a couple quarts short of an oil change to be willing to pay $250 for "Le Petite Machine Temporelle" but not be willing to pay $300 for the glorious name brand Kinhank. Game Request: "WRC: Rally Evolved" is a really tough PS2 game to emulate. I'm not sure if it's weirdly coded and can't be emulated or if it's just really difficult. My SD845 phone struggles harder with it than it does with any other PS2 game I've ever tried and I don't have anything better at the moment (poor financial decisions, yo!) to try it on.

WRC Rally Evolved is on the list! Speaking of weirdly coded games, I read that the GC Rogue Squadron games are super hard to emulate because the devs basically wrote their own software interface to make the GameCube perform way better than what you'd get using the Nintendo-provided dev toolbox. Dolphin can handle it, but it needs extra power to emulate the extra stuff Factor 5 used.
